For all we know show might have meant to be a prequel to Rayman 2 with Razorbeard later on betraying Rigatoni in a later episode if it wasn't cancelled, or this show was made during Rayman 2's development before the game's final product was complete. Razorbeard was not originally planned to be the villain or even a character in Rayman 2, it was originally gonna be that Tonic Trouble general guy but that all got scrapped. So maybe while they were remaking the game into 3D they weren't sure on who to make the lead villain and maybe Razorbeard was supposed to be a TV series only character but they liked him so much that they decided to make him the villain.

I loved Rayman 2 on PS1 as a kid and saw a teaser for this in it's booklet. Always wanted to watch it but of course no stores near me ever had it. 20 something years later and here it is! Honestly, I don't think I would have liked it even as a kid. The only thing that feels "Rayman" about this show is Rayman himself. Too many new characters, the world doesn't feel like the world from any of the games, Razorbeard is a lackey? I understand why it was canceled, lol. But thanks for uploading it nonetheless.

I love the fact that not only does Rayman live in his world's equivalent of Boston (probably only proven by the accent), he is voiced by Billy West who voiced Fry in Futurama and later Murfy in Rayman 3 and Betina is voiced by Carolyn Lawrence who voiced Sandy in SpongeBob SquarePants! 30:13 Omg it's the Mr. Krabs walking sound effect! 36:28 Heh, really? Ok, so the writing here is kind of bad, but I feel kind of bad in a way that this didn't make a proper series, Rayman's world is fantastical and this has elements of Rayman 2's distinctive artstyle that I would have loved to see progressed on. I think this could be tied into Rayman 2 with (actual) admiral Razorbeard selling Rayman to the circus, establishing some kind of reward for allies to his invasion and rebels get sold as slaves. I mean, it seems kind of dark, but, then slavery is apparently legal in this verse or at least has enough acceptance for police officers to be chasing runaway slaves...

The setting of this series was never made very clear. Either it's a completely different universe and continuity from the games or it's meant to be a prequel to Rayman 2 before Razorbeard became an admiral. If the show is the latter and it wasn't cancelled then it probably would've featured Razorbeard finally having enough of being bossed around by Rigatoni and just snapped so he betrayed him(probably killed him too)gathered up as many robots to serve in his crew, turned the flying circus tent into the Buccaneer and thus the Robo Pirates came to be with Razorbeard as the admiral. Though if that was the case it does create a plot hole of where the pirates came from cuz it said in Rayman 2's manual the pirates were from outer space and not from Rayman's world.
