His work was incredible. His books fired my interest in reading as a kid in the 1970's. I loved the Father Christmas books and later When The Wind Blows as a teenager. A brilliant, authentic artist and author. Thank you for all the amazing books Raymond.

Viva a ARTE!

Lyrics - Walking in the Air - Song by Howard Blake - - - - - We're walking in the air - We're floating in the moonlit sky - The people far below are sleeping as we fly - I'm holding very tight - I'm riding in the midnight blue - I'm finding I can fly so high above with you - Far across the world - The villages go by like dreams - The rivers and the hills - The forests and the streams - Children gaze open mouth - Taken by surprise - Nobody down below believes their eyes - We're surfing in the air - We're swimming in the frozen sky - We're drifting over icy - Mountains floating by - Suddenly swooping low on an ocean deep - Arousing of a mighty monster from its sleep - We're walking in the air - We're dancing in the midnight sky - And everyone who sees us greets us as we fly - - - - Songwriters: Howard David Blake - Available on - iHeartRadio - Spotify - KZbin Music - Artist: Howard Blake - Album: The Snowman - Released: 1983 - Genres: Children's music, Pop - Other recordings of this song - Walking In The Air - André Rieu · 2012 - Walking In the Air - Aled Jones · 1985 - Walking in the Air - Celtic Woman · 2011 - - -

If you only take one thing from this interview: Boglet, an 18th century word for handkerchief.
@joeakajoe13 жыл бұрын
Sounds to me like he said 'muckend'. "It's appropriate because that's where all the muck ends up"
@everynewdayisablessing85092 жыл бұрын
@@joeakajoe1 while he did say the word boglet, it is indeed muckend which he explained is the word for a hankie. We just read Beatrix Potter's Miss Tiggy-Winkle story to our kids, and in it she used the word handkin for the same article, so it looks like handkerchief changed its name quite a bit over the years.
