I have used this machine in my last 2 jobs and I love it. Only sketchy part is when we have to grab some heavier pallets from the tippy top (our space is limited so some we have to put up high..) you can feel it pull the machine when the heavy ones have to come down.

Does it feel like the pallet and everything on it will come toppling down? I'm interested in applying for a position using that particular forklift, should I be worried. Thanks, be well:)

@@lpadilla8914 not generally. But sometimes if heavier material is in the back of the pallet it can feel like things will topple. Sometimes I just say f@#k it when go for a lift in these cases and do it. Better not to hesitate. Nothing has ever happened. Just get in the habit of trying to balance your load or keep the heavier items up front.

@@keisursoze Your initial comment about the video was posted a while back so I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. I feel more at ease knowing that, thank God, nothing has ever happened and that you loved working the forklifts. Wish me luck I really do need it, it's time to change jobs. Take care, Keisursoze :)

Is there really no guard on this? That seems incredibly unsafe.

You are supposed to wear a safety harness. You can see the cable above him, evidently he isnt hooked in here

@koreyfreemanofficial the crowns have a guard on the front and on both sides.

I will give my two cent since I drove both Crown TSP and Raymond Swing Reach. Raymond design their turret truck to act more like order picker substitute. You can flip up the seat to drive more like order picker. The rear guard is useless during that operation, and side guard is the control panel (also can be lifted). Safety harness is bypass to all the precaution you mentioned. Plus unlike Crown, the maintenance and leadership staff can lower you down without a key.

@xyero4399 I think it depends on the model, the crown I operated had a seat that you could raise to operated while standing... even better the seat swiveled as well. Also didn't need a key to be lowered, it was just a lever.

@@savannahp6359 I driven the newest models that can be purchased since 2022. I don't doubt you that Crown is more safe, ergonomic, and efficient. But, each company designs their forklift based on little things. I am not fan of Raymond on OP and Reach (ergonomics and safety). But I have been told that Raymond will be there to meet company demands when Crown cant (out of stock/not available). Plus, maintenance people that work on both companys prefer Raymond to be easy to repair.

I know there are many factors at play here but the machine you are on, what’s the price for a new one or one comparable?

You don't wear a seatbelt on these, but he should be wearing the safety harness
