I wish there was a longer, good quality video of Nikolai dancing Jean De Brienne, his version is so much more lyrical, he looks so regal on the stage and dances like a dream..

Dolci e fluenti movenze per il mantenimento di ottime posture figurali ed otti mi i passi sulle punte in eundo veloce ed indietreggianti o circondotti in leggerezza della ballerina.Oftima impressione di facilità esecutiva d'acchito da parte di entrambi. Ottimo quello che con un mio neologismo mi piace chiamare convolo aereo ed elanista della ballerina ottimamente indotto e tenuto dal partner. Ottimo il senso del continuum dato alla pièce danzante.Superlativi.Bighin GIULIO RENZO. 😊😊😊😊😊😊

There used to be on here, a clip of Maria Alexandrova dancing this same adagio in a gala. I can’t find it anymore which is a shame, since that was beautiful too.

Nina Semizorova is not the ideal choice for Raymonda, she is more suitable for virtuioso roles such as the Odile pas de deux and the mistress of the copper mountain in the Stone Flower.or Kitri in Don "Q". Check out Svetland Zakarva or Nina Ananiashvilli. The role is a very classical one needing grace and lyrical musicality in performance for it to suceed in wowing you.

Have something against wonderful Nina? She is as amazing here as she was in Sleeping Beauty, Sylphide, Swan Lake... all danced with Nikolai.. they were the most wonderful partners.

Yes the cloak is rather distracting and no doubt difficult to dance with. and yes the performance is not very good. A case of the wrong casting I am afraid.
