i would try to ease ur main when ur going in to the tack en when u go out of the tack let ur sheet out a little bit.

I always thought you should sheet in as you steer up to facilitate sailing, then sheet out when you flatten.sheeting in as you steer up can keep the sail full for most of the tack.

In lighter wind land on your airbag, landing foreword, so you don’t sink your stern. Also don’t use to much rudder, all you need is about 20-40 degree angle of you tiller. Lastly remember to bring those shoulder out and land a bit more ruff, give it more ooouummmfff, really flatten that boat.

its not about speed its learning how to roll tack

your not gaining speed with the tack you need to ease the main and paly with your weight more than just tacking with the rudder. aswell you need to pull the bout on to you when doing the tack.
