Rayneau Gajadhar Responds To Opposition Questions About Presence Of Foreign Workers At Work Sites

Leader of the Opposition, Allen Chastanet Is questioning the status of foreign workers employed at the St Jude Hospital Reconstruction Project and the Canelles Resort being developed by the Galaxy Group. Managing Director of Construction and Industrial Equipment Limited, Rayneau Gajadhar, whose firm is currently contracted at both project sites, in response to the opposition leader’s queries has highlighted a lack of manpower needed for the major projects citing disinterest among Saint Lucia workers.

You right I use to work for him my pay was $70 a day n I use to get short payed $45 a day so I left the work is not that I did not like the job.

I find this man getting too many contracts. Its time for government to divide contacts in smaller phases and higher small local contractors to do the jobs. He getting very disrespectful

I can recall working for rayneau and there was a Tyler who said boss am working for $70 a day and he he would rather fire the guy and get someone else to do the work so many people saying people want work but don't want to work how can u give a fair days work for an unfair days pay

It's one thing when the pay is not right, that would give u a distaste to work some places, now when they bring the foreigners the have to pay them in full .but they want to pay us locals next to nothing .

I always admire Ray's approach. Those programs like step and hope don't work. People don't grow professionally for learn any transferable skills. Clearly there is work, but people only want a job and do not want to work within said job. Big up Rayneau

For the first time I think I heard pharaoh speak the truth. Very deep insights. Not one word from this guy was unwise or wasted. For the first time I think that I think some things, perhaps many things in common with this guy. Including successive governments making jackasses out of the UN educated, uninformed, unintelligent and debased masses. The words spoken by this guy in this interview were those of an impeccable statesman and a well informed and deeply thinking citizen.

There's work and people don't want to work; And that is the real truth, even though people dress up to be at work, but does not apply the quality and ethics or interest in the job. that is why many companies have one or two persons doing three job in one space. very sad society. An if you do well and the boss respect you for your efforts, then you in trouble with employees who have no drive or respect for the company that pay them every month to be at work, just like when the company brings in a Mr. Ray is speaking the truth no matter what people think of him. Everyone complain about the white man but kiss their toes to get money. I respect everyone who understand the respect others who deserve what they get. Black or White. What's happening now. I call it greed not racism. Remember, every Island and country sells citizenship in their currency and you are to be thought the history, rules and laws on that land.
