Thanks for your review of this tumbler. I have purchased one and have been running it almost constantly since I did. In your review, you mentioned that the bolts were a little long. I agree that was a bit annoying. But worse than that for me was the fact that the bolt was actually rusting and making the bolts harder to remove. So to solve both problems, I purchased stainless steel bolts, cut them to size, and installed them. Made a big difference. Keep the reviews coming.

Thank you for your kind words and the support! I may need to try stainless soon. They can be a big pain to get off with wet hands

We use a TV-5 for burnishing silver and copper jewelry using stainless steel shot and pins. It’s a workhorse unit! The noise is considerable, so we put a 7 gallon pool chemical bucket over the top. Drill holes in it to disappate heat. If you decide to upgrade your setup, you can probably sell the TV-5 for at least $100 bucks. They’re great for small jewelers and shops.

I bought a pair of pliers with nylon lined jaws for the rubber nuts. It does help to tighten them for the slightly bulged sides per the instructions. My main problem seems to be adding the correct amount of water.

Its always a crap shoot on the water. I like to start on the shy end. Its easier to add then to take some out

I just ordered one, but not from Amazon because I found it $35 cheaper from another vendor. However, Amazon does have a better bowl as a separate item for $29 that I may get. I'm planning on using this vibrator mainly for the polishing stage. I'm looking forward to less tumbling time. Thanks for your video tips.

Thank you for sharing, I’ve had problems with bottoms blowing out of the bowls, I’ve gone through 6 of them in two years. Is this something you’ve experienced and a found a solution for?

I have not ever had that issue. My very unscientific opinion would be that maybe there isn't enough water and filler in with the rocks which wears into the bowl quicker? I'm not sure
