Look at that crowd! No phones no earbuds no distractions, everybody just focuses on the game itself. I love the purity of the energy.

It's impossible to see people go to a ball game ONLY for the game anymore.

I still can't believe that's my school. I'm currently a senior at Ray South and every time I pass by the gym doors, right next to them is a portrait of the team and I always thought to myself, "what's so special about them? Why can't there be a picture of every year?" but now I'm so glad to know. I'm so proud of my school. Plus, I wonder for how long have we had the Alma Mater as our school's song.

Nathalie Rivera that’s awesome! Well I’m a little biased but this was a very special team. We were recently inducted into the Missouri Hall of Fame. Enjoy your senior year! Go cardinals!

The Deric Cofield Show at 8:59. Three 3's in the final 20 seconds, the last one over Patrick Richey. LS had a 5-point lead with 20 seconds left, hit 4/4 FT's and still lost in OT.

I was on the freshman team that year. I was terrible haha. When Chris had his accident it was horrible and I still remember coach lathrop bringing us all in after it happened. Everyone loved Chris, it wasn't about the team. It was such a fun year. My friends would go to the games and go play basketball in the driveway for 3 hours after. It was a fun time.

Yes it was. Still remember that morning when I found out what had happened. The whole year was right out of a movie and deserves to get made!

@@thedunkcamp I always thought that to. I feel like there is a screenplay waiting to be written. Did you see the movie Foxcatcher? That was the guy who donated the prosthetic foot to Chris. It was Jon DuPont amd he sent someone from the company and we had that big assembly when he donated it to him. DuPont turned out to be a bad guy but I always remembered that he did that and he wasnt always a monster.

Is there a complete game on Raytown South that year?
@thedunkcamp11 ай бұрын
I have several on old video tapes. Need to get them digitized. Also have our state championship game that was broadcast on TV. Should upload that too.

That’s awesome! Games were always packed (at least when I was growing up and when I played). What years did you watch?
