it could mean a lot of things, but put simply: we're constantly in motion, always changing, and yet somehow we're always ourselves. somehow we can treat people as though they are unchanging entities. even though its constantly changing, it can seem to stay the same in our perception. someone may explain this in another way though so come up with your own interpretation is my advice
