Had both keyboards at one point. The huntsman elite was super nice but one major con that made it useless for me was they switches are WAYYYYY too sensitive. Always getting accidental key presses while gaming. Had to go back to the black widow elite. Hope it helps.

Discussion of Opto-Mechanical switches on the Huntsman and advantages/disadvantages. They are a different design/concept. 2. How do the switches compare, and match to the Cherry series? 2. Example's of setting up profiles and macro's between each keyboard 3. Usability between gaming and production, regular computer work. Most of us do not use our system's solely for gaming. U might very well game and produce videos on the same system, use Microsoft Office products to run the business, etc. There are distinct differences between switches. Some are best for gaming, some for gaming and production, etc.

Same, I bought the orange switch Chroma V2 but just got a Blackwidow Elite with green switches. The green switches on the elite sound so incredibly clean and nice. They have the signature click not none of the rattling noise that even the Chroma V2 with orange switches has. Definitely do not regret spending another shitload of money on a keyboard (I'm a writer though so I care a lot about how my keyboard sounds and feels).

i replaced my huntsman elite with a blackwidow elite, and i don't regret it, the new green switches with the side walls are so much better and smoother then the Blackwidow v2's green's switches and these switches have more definition then the opto-mechs which is why i switched, and the loss of extra RGB lighting was not a deal breaker to me

I love the look of the huntsmen elite but the black widow elite is way better when it comes to price for features and performance. 30 dollars more for the huntsmen and all you get is better RGB and slightly faster switches, but lose a USB and audio pass through? And don’t even gain dedicated macro keys for 200 dollars? Plus it takes up 2 USB ports not to mention you’d need a 3rd on your pc because you’d need to plug in a mouse also. Eh, I think I’d rather go with the black widow.. huntsmen switch’s feel amazing though tbh I love the key board. Only real gripe tbh would be the no pass through ports

One thing that led me to choose the BlackWidow Elite over the Huntsman is that I wear wristwatches. The base of the wrist rest on the BlackWidow is plastic and wont get in fights with metal wrist watch bands. The Huntsman Elite has an aluminum wrist rest and you can clearly see the finish has been rubbed off by his wrist watch on the left side throughout the video.

The Razer Huntsman Elite now has another switch, the red, linear optical switch, which is light and instant. I just got my Razer BlackWidow Elite, with the linear, silent, yellow switches and I'm loving it! Thank you for your very detailed reviews (I don't even notice things like invisible powercords & the pros of having an accessible volume knob at the side rather than at the top!). I was looking for a wireless/mechanical/RGB keyboard but ended up with the Huntsman Elite after watching your videos. I know, it sounds odd but... I wrote off the other options based on : Corsair's wireless K57/63 because of their rubber dome keys; the Corsair K95/100's 'eyesore grey G keys (yeah I know, I'm so shallow lol) and the Logitech G915 due to it's low-profile keys & its fragile slim/flat design. The only keyboard I could find which had wireless + RGB + mechanical keys was the Huntman Elite's sibling, the Blackwidow V3 Pro...But the key switches are not as sturdy and its wrist-rest also lacked RGB unlike the Huntsman Elite lol. Definitely subbed!!

Exactly the dilema I am going through. Ended up buying the G915 as I really wnated a wireless keyboard and the G915 had MASSIVE battery life. It is a beautifully made thing with gorgeous brushed metal finish. Two major issues for me, 1.) The G keys kept getting in the way as I also use it for work and my muscle memory was off - I kept thinking the G key was the CTRL key! 2.) Major issues with the 3 cutomised stored memory profiles as they kept disappearing (look online for tons of complaints).

@A Quddus Yes need to readjust to the G keys on the left "blocking" the Esc and Ctrl keys on the left. Another thing, be careful not to bump the G915 against anything. I had a small chip at the front and it seems like the brushed metal top plate has a painted surface which chips off easily. It wasn't even a hard knock and it was wood rather than concrete/metal.

Just a quick heads up. I bought both of these keyboards to see which one I liked better and which one to return. Both are great, I like them about equal. Huntsman has a slight edge for me. BUT be very careful with the USB passthrough on the Blackwidow. I don't know if I just got a lemon or what, but it puts a death grip on whatever you plug into it. I plugged my wireless mouse dongle into it and when I went to take it out, I had to use pliers and it eventually made the dongle come apart. Thankfully I was able to get the dongle back together and it works fine still but.. yeah. A little bit worrisome.

The huntsman elite is my favorite keyboard ever, been using it 3 years now, but the V1 has a very poor quality volume control dial that breaks almost instantly forcing you to add an external volume control. Today I returned a Corsair K100 as it was broken right out of the box and felt cheap in comparison. The Steelseries Apex pro didn't feel right either so I guess I'll keep my huntsman a while longer.

Random Stuff I would recommend the Acer XF240H 61 cm (24 Zoll Full HD). The only feature your missing is gsync but that would cost another 150-200. If you want a better resolution you will have to pay a lot more anyways, but imo 144hz is way more important than a better res (and considering you have a 1070ti probably the way to go anyways.

Personally, I think they both sound stunning and they both have their positives and their negatives. For example the wrist rest for the Black Widow is plastic which in some cases can seem unattractive whereas the Huntsman has an aluminium wrist rest which can be scratched by watches/bracelets like you have mentioned.

I am not an owner of the huntsman nor the blackwidow but based on my research I honestly dont think there is much of a difference in these 2 keyboards because mainly the sound alot of people look for and i think they sound similar but there is under-glow on the huntsman and there are some pinned things that connect the hand-rest to the keyboard and the hand-rest has under-glow too. Honestly if you are more of an rgb person like techblock you should get the huntsman but if you just want an over-the-edge-ish like keyboard get the blackwidow. (When i say blackwidow or huntsman i mean the elite version of them) take this from a random guy you dont know, please dont give backlash on this i haven’t bought these yet i have a 5$ keyboard and mouse set lmfao ------ thx for reading this if you did please like it lol ---- also rgb toaster review when?
