I have a couple of questions. 1. I'm moving to China, what does the voltage say on the power brick? I need to make sure the laptop won't explode if I plug it in to a different voltage. Most laptops now a days can handle the change in voltage, but I just wanna make sure before I spend a lot of money on this. 2. I do a decent amount of 3D modeling and rendering, while I understand rendering on a laptop is gonna take a lot of extra time and power, do you think it's doable? 3. Do you really notice a drop to 16 gbs of ram? My current laptop has 32 gbs of ram and I like to think I notice and enjoy the 32 gbs of ram, but I can't say if that's just because I know I have 32 gbs of ram, or if it really is making a difference in overall performance.
@BioGear3 жыл бұрын
The brick says input: 100V-240V-3.6A 50/60Hz. Output: 19.5V - 11.8A. Unsure what power outlets output in China. 16Gb ram is sufficient for gaming, but rendering 3D models loves more ram. If I was doing 3d modeling I'd prefer 32gb personally

I've been considering this. I don't _really_ need it for gaming, I have a desktop for that. But I do want something for work and dual-boot Linux into it. Thing is... only 16 gigs of memory.... eeehhhh. I'm kinda ok with that, but what if I need 32 in the future? That's really the only thing preventing me from pulling the trigger on it. I love the all metal chassis. It's why I use a MacBook for work. But my MacBook is just getting too old now. Dells, I've thought about, but they can be just as expensive as the Razer at that point....

Similar mindset, I like premium machines. This one has not disappointed, it ticks a lot of boxes. My XPS 17 is my favorite laptop for web and content consumption (love big screens), but this razer is outstand at doing everything well, even gaming. Its not to be ignored IMO. I just want it to last, so I bought an extended warranty just in case.

None of these reviews talk about the palm rejection, I guess it’s really good then? The palm rejection is absolutely non existent on my blade 15 advanced 2020 model. Drives me nuts.
@BioGear3 жыл бұрын
So far no issues there for me, my 2070 blade 15 didn't have too much problem there either. I'm sure you tried lowering the touchpad sensitivity already?

What dock you gonna use for this. Just ordered mine and gonna have it docked.

I keep looking at both the Razer TB4 dock and WD Black Game Dock. I'm reading that since they're thunderbolt and this laptop isn't, there may be compatibility issues though. Supposedly you need Thunderbolt to run them. Shout back if you learn anything on this.

No laptop that is a fingerprint magnet is well built... my Mac never gets Fingerprints..no matter what. Terrible idea to make it only black.

Ur rly comparing this beast to a Mac? How does fingerprints affect the build quality? Agree should’ve been more colours but I think most ppl can agree that macs look better then they function

I like the Razer 14, but I still wish it was intel based. I prefer intel based over AMD becaucse I'm hackintoshing and right now Hackintoshing on Intel is easier. Why have both a Macbook and a Razer when you can just have 1 to serve both. The Hackintosh on Razer 15 is extremely stable. And the trackpad has nothing to do with Razer, once you install hackintosh you'll see the touchpad is fine and is responsive proving that its software based or OS based not hardware.

This is my first Ryzen computer, cant say I like or dislike it more than intel. I got the Mac when I started learning video editing, I could live without it and just have the razer. Never tried hackintosh. The point of the trackpad notes were the texture of the glass, some are too course, some too slippery. Razers is pretty balanced. I hate crappy trackpads!

this video is a fine example of the importance of using background music ^^ rest is nicely done.

I thought about using music, but hear mixed input about it being distracting. I can never get the volume right though. I'll have to take another crack at it, thanks for the input!

I'll do that, still new to recording so audio is my next study material. recommend any vids or places for how to / tips with audio? :)

@@BioGear There's a lot of resources online - particularly with music production, its sister discipline. You would want to go for audio mixing for video tutorials though.
