The harmonized guitars sound awesome, thanks for uploading this. The singer did a fantastic job too.
@mrfester4211 ай бұрын
Those guitars were not harmonizing! You obviously don't know what that term means. The drums and bass kind of sounded pretty good but they were almost lost in this horrible mix so it's hard to tell. The singer was at least aware enough to not try and imitate Robert Plant and sang it his own way so he was the only real standout here. This is such an iconic piece that it's basically a part of everyone's DNA so the only real choices are to either do it exactly like Zeppelin or do a totally unique version and just hope it goes over well. These guys were trying to do Zeppelin and they couldn't do it. Slash has been around long enough so he should know that he just doesn't have the chops to cover Page well enough to sound good but the fact that he doesn't is another indication that he's no great musician.

I liked Slash's take on the solo there, was a little let down he didn't give it his best Page try, woulda loved to see him try, because it is honestly one of the hardest solos I've ever had the priviledge to try & learn, I still suck at it sometimes 🤣👏 Sure Slash woulda killed it but great none the less 🔥

Cmon bro. The magic of Zep was they came up with this shit. However, it is not technically challenging for guitar players of this caliber. Jordan Ziff would run circles around Slash if theyd gone head to head. Jordan is a once in a generation type talent.
@rishabhaniket19522 жыл бұрын
@@leskobrandon691 Trutly feel that how memorable or accessible your music is what matters the most. You can play a lot if technical groundbreaking stuff for your own indulgence but if it does not touch a chord with the general public, it kind of waters down it’s significance. The reason why a band of the 60s which disbanded half a century ago is still selling millions of tunes and it’s melodic architect is selling out stadiums at 80.

+Squidwin Really ?? Bands that feature 3 guitarists have achieved lofty success including Boston, .38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles, Frank Zappa, Pearl Jam, Iron Maiden, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, etc. If 3 or more guitars ( whether electric, acoustic, or a combination thereof ) in a band are in tune with one another they can sound like a string section reminiscent of an orchestra. Seven Bridges Road by The Eagles is a prime example. By the way, these guys guitars weren't in tune with one another and it was very painful for me to listen to. Not bad for a live performance, but still ...
@Suzumebachigr8 жыл бұрын
tell that to Iron Maiden.
@sethadams71226 жыл бұрын
Well the actual studio song sounds like there is three guitars playing the same parts at some points and different parts at others. Although Zepp had only one guitarist, Jimmy Page achieved this by overdubbing different parts. He did this with multiple Zepp songs, but you can't exactly get that live without three guitars.
