Hey everyone! As things are getting tougher than ever on KZbin with various new policies & rules, I've decided to start this page where you can support me if you'd like to help out: buymeacoffee.com/razols Any amount would be super appreciated and help me invest more of my time into making videos. I've had my channel for more than 8 years now mainly uploading videos of Roger Federer. This year KZbin has implemented some changes to their policies and rules which have made it difficult for many of us amateur channels to keep going, hence why I started the page above. I'm also planning on starting a Patreon page with memberships which will offer some exclusive videos, like the top 1000 video, that I can't currently have up on my channel. Thanks for all the support over the years 🎾🙏

Can't even imagine the fitness level of these two. This was one of the hardest hitting tennis I've seen and both were chasing down shot after shot. These guys are super athletes and if you've ever played singles with a good opponent who rallies long, you can appreciate this level of tennis. Phenomenal tennis! Great mental strength won in the end. Go Roger!

We all know Fed, but man, Monfils here played really great, nothing for the hype, all for a great solid powerful tennis, unfortunately too short in the fourth set. But man, congrats to both of them, and beautiful accolade at the net at the end, it says it all about the friendship and the respect between these two.

I have never been so sad when I learned that Federer had retired. What made it so much worse was that he did not want to retire--he was forced to due to injuries. If not for his injuries, he would still be playing today and would easily be ranked in the top 5. Roger is the G.O.A.T. to me!

This match was the first and last time I have seen Federer in person. Monfils was a beast and super fast around the court and you could hear his sneakers scream under his feet, Fed on the other hand was cat like or should I say a whisper quiet ninja. 2014 US open was a missed opportunity for Federer in my books given his two other rivals didn't make it either. Wish I could have seen him prior to 2008 or in 2017, must have been a sight to behold.

Prime example of how slow courts handicapped Federer’s important arsenals like Drop shots,slices and Serve to some extent.If you’ve watched the whole match you could tell how many of the extraordinary drop shots from Federer bounced too high that the opponent reached it with ease.
@miloraddjurdjic169511 ай бұрын
us open did not become magically slower court, it is the same speed as it was in 2005 or 2001, he should have adapted to it since he won it 5times

@@miloraddjurdjic1695 Lol.Average 'ic' guy.There was a completely different court upto 2004 in USO and different ball which used to bounce low was used back in the days upto 2007.The dynamic of the game overall post 2008 was entirely changed to favor counter punchers so that the ATP could earn a lot of money as the match time increased with slowing down of courts.Federer has to adapt to a different game than he used to play and yet was the third most successful player of this slow court era post 2008.Can't complain about his adaptability while the other two members were the ones who had minimal success in faster courts on contrary.

When I got home, my dad was watching a DVR recording of the match, so I started watching with him. The recording suddenly cut out, and my dad jumps off the couch and yells "HE'S SIGNIN' BALLS". That's how we found out he came back lmao.

The perfect title for this match. Federer is the picture of resilience. I remember Federer not serving well threw out the whole match but also having a back problems. Wearing that undershirt. But the comeback is just legendary. True mental strength! Then cilic came along playing the best tennis of his life. Then again I’m thinking Federer bigger racquet would have helped majorly.

Think the match of Djokovic's life would have been enough to beat Fed? Used to love Fed, but as I've learned more about the almost fabulous depth of the evils of the world, it bothers me when I see him rubbing elbows with the fiends in the "Royal Box" at Wimbledon. Because I still have memories of how great he was at his peak, I want to think that he perhaps doesn't even yet know some things that if her were informed and honest with himself, he most certainly would know or should know...

Federer was really strong in 2014, but his backhand wasn't nearly as strong as in 2017-18, and that counted, because: you don't attack with the backhand? Djokovic and Nadal win the slams (and in the case of 2014, also Wawrinka and Cilic); you attack with the backhand? You win 2 slams in one year.
