If he needs a drop in rear shock, i have the hookup on my amazon store. I'm glad you got to experience the rsf. It definitely takes time to get used to, but the weight does feel awesome at speed. The potential of the ec4p is really held back on the kelly. On my setup only at 60amps i would do 50 and im 230lbs. I had my bike up to 67 at 150 amps lol.

I think the rear shock is the first thing I would change honestly (higher spring rate.) I really like that you can grip the tank with your legs on the RSF. I’m excited for my EC4P with the Noisy cricket though

No need to bleed there's a allen screw that you turn clockwise on the lever it tightens the brake

It physically had a bunch of air in the brake hose and was lacking fluid.

That new elecrtoandco kit comes with the new ec5p motor

I think 14kw max is plenty for what I’m looking for though, im fine sticking with the 4P v3
@flex-e-moto6 ай бұрын
@PatOutdoors it's a torque thing for 12in tires not just a kilowatt thing. Also if you purchase a kit there's no opinion for a old ec4p it only had the ec5p 30mm bigger rotor for the bigger tire. I'll be putting one in mine.
@flex-e-moto6 ай бұрын
@PatOutdoors also that 14k is only on a 24ah 76volt battery. On a 72v it's more like 9k 10k.

On my razor mx650 i know thag if i add i higher tooth motor sprocket the torque is less but speed is more but if i were to change the back sprocket to smaller would that make it faster or if I went to higher tooth back sprocket would that make it slower? what happenes if i change the back sprockey
@PatOutdoors5 ай бұрын
Similar effect, but goes the opposite way. The bigger the rear sprocket on the back, the slower the top speed but higher low end torque. A lot less options and certainly more expensive for rear sprocket changes.

Be careful about pushing 14kw through the EC4P and controller, The EC4P is still based upon a my1020 and anything over 12/13kw will burn the motor out pretty fast especially in outside temperatures over 85°.. The EC4P/ Cricket controller combo *SHOULD hit 65 all day. Definitely swap your SX build to use RSF tires/rims, The spoke rims bend extremely easy. Also it's definitely worth it to get good front forks instead of the stock MX/SX forks with the lift kit from Kurt.. You might want to also consider mounting a steering dampener if you plan on going over 55mph... If you go with a stretch kit definitely go with taller forks so you can swap to 12-in wheels instead of 10-in wheels
@PatOutdoors6 ай бұрын
Yeah I would probably only have it set at that for short peaks. I’m thinking my target speed is 65 MpH anyway. My SX already has RDF wheels on it now, along with a mototec fork. I’m looking at DNM rear shocks at the moment. You got a recommendation for spring rate for a 180 lb adult? The SX will probably be my first razor with a steering damper. Appreciate all the info!
@Zx7o.6 ай бұрын
@@PatOutdoors No that DNM rear shock would be perfect that's what a lot of people go with, I'm not sure which rating most go with but anything over 500 and you should be good. I feel like the tubing on the frame would bend/snap before you hit that compression limit for the shock. If you plan on mobbing it off of jumps or any wheelies, definitely add on pieces of metal for support right at the seat mount, cuz it's the single tubing that wraps around towards the back, add a little bit of brace to that cuz that's usually what's the first to snap on most people. Are you in the main group for modified razors for adults on FB, the 30k members one. The banner photo is a RSF with white and red background lights. I can tag you in some posts of other people that welded support bars right at that location that I'm talking about

@@PatOutdoors Have you picked up the DNM adjustable shock yet? I have on my Rsf650. I went with the 1000lb spring I weigh 260lb. It was stiff at first but when broken in its perfect and cushy. For you I would go with 850lb spring. Yes at first I thought I bought a too stiff spring. But after 3 rides 30mins each. It was broken in and perfect. And you can adjust rebound and preload.
