Does the new chain fit the sprocket? I just ran into the issue with my 1800watt kit the sprocket on the new motor doesn't fit the old chain and the old sprocket from the old motor doesn't fit on the new motor shaft

The sprocket on the new motor did not, so I used the old sprocket, and the new chain is the same one, without the rust. The old sprocket fits the motor shaft, but your best bet is to see if a new sprocket will fit the shaft and the chain. I you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

The throttle came with the motor package. If you look up Razor Sx500 60volt motor upgrade, you can find packages of the motor, esc, throttle, and the chain.

Did you get rid of the old wheel that you changed?

I did yeah. The chain was super rusted and a bunch of debris was jammed in between the plastic gear plate and the gear itself. Plus the bearing was rusted and falling apart too.

The stock controller I had on for awhile, but it gave out soon after. I switched it to a 60v ESC from Amazon for $70 and it runs much better

I wanna build one of these so bad but I don't know how to do the wiring. I watched so many videos but no one actually explains the terminology and how to actually connect the wires and what kind of connectors do what job... I feel like it's too overwhelming but idk man

I know exactly what you’re saying. I’ll try to tell you in basic terms, and then I’ll make a YT short explaining it better. There are 3 wires coming off the motor called “phase wires” ; blue, yellow and green. Those are connected by a screw to the same colored wires off of the ESC. There are 2 wires that come off the battery; black and red. Those are usually connected by a XT60 or some other connecter. That also either screws in by wires off the ESC or a connecter. Any other throttle or lights are a simple click in connection.

@@LukeTheNukeRC thanks bro I appreciate it. I got the phase wires and xt connections but most of the time it's not plug and play, usually I see you have to cut wires and solder new connectors. That's what messes me up.👍❤️

@@BurromaxxerThe ESC and Motor kit was a Vevor combo on Amazon. It was about $110 and the 48v 1600w battery was from eBay for around $300.

Good to see youngsters wrenching. This bike is a good avenue for that. I started on bmx in the 80's. You really learn, hands on, real sheet. Probably lost more than 10 pnds. More like 40 pnds. It's a positive factor for sure.

Yeah, of course! I can't remember the exact battery, but the motor & ESC combo is here:.
