What happened to the Alma Mater? I like the H-O-G-S but really missed the Alma Mater. Whose idea was THAT? As a Razorback Band Alum I can't imagine just dismissing the tradition of the Alma Mater.

That is totally controlled by the television network. Neither the Razorback Band nor the U of A Athletic Department have any control of this. That is why the Razorback Band records and makes available via KZbin a complete recording of all performances.
