More clutch kick when it bogs down and when theres a lot of grip. Im rocking a 4door g35 200whp maybe on 35psi so lots of grip=fast skids 😉

You make me miss my rb20 hatch. Made 280whp on 15lbs. Had the same issue though....few laps in and she would get hot. SUPER fun car. Also....IF you go stock shroud and GKTech clutch fan it will help my dude. Push fans are not always reliable.

I recommend atleast a 40 weight oil for performance engines. Especially in hot climates.

Higher weight will actually lead to more heat being retained by the engine, although it won't break down as quickly. 30 weight is actually more than sufficient for 90-105°F climates, heat issues come from the cooling system if any appear.

Should go for a mid mount intercooler setup. Quicker spool because of less piping. And mayyyyyybe a boost controller

Why would anyone think you cant drift on a 255 and with an RB20? My neighbor had a 275 on his RB20 powered S13 and I absolutely loved driving that thing, it carried so much speed it's not even funny. Just gotta make sure you keep up in the upper RPMs is all. Just so anyone knows, if your car has no low end torque, you fix that with shorter rear end gears (numerically higher) to keep you in the upper RPMs. I'm planning a 265 with my mustang but difference is I'll have way more power down low I'm comparison to any RB especially a 20.

Yeah man I told you the RB20 feels so different compared to the KA24. It's all or nothing with the RB20 that's why i can never get rid of the KA in my s14 i just love how easy it spins tires especially in the rain. crazy how much of a difference .4 liters makes.

It has a lot to to do with stroke. RB20’s and KA’s are like on opposite spectrums in terms of stroke.

yeah and rb20 has short stroke, so that adds up to low torque down low, but could achieve crazy high rev limits. Also, the short stroke makes the rod thicc af, so no problem with high boost, just need the pistons forged plus some extended oil sump for these RBs.

good driving, you know a lot how your car behive, have the same swap and setup ( a couple o different things done) same turbo, but chinesse header on a custom downpipe top mount intercooler sr20 NA oem radiator ( hose instead of being in the same side, upper one it is to the other side, better flow on the radiator) also have 2 10" fans but on pull instead of push, push fans dont work at all, since they block all the air coming in, you are wasting more than 30% of cooling capacity, more if you havent bleed the system ( in line 6 are very prone to bubbles inside of the water system) and with that old single cell radiator ( sr20det are double cell) it manages to cold it down with out any problem ( fans arent at full potential either) 90-95C drifting in the desert at 30C+ and even not at sea level very cool build hope we can interchange information about this engine ( i am a very big fan of it)
