RB396 Rear Fuselage progress June 2021

Time lapse video demonstrating progress on RB396's rear fuselage across June - July 2021. Video shows progress on the various frames, stringers, and trial fittings of skin sections.
Rebuild is being overseen by the Aircraft Restoration Company, with this element of the build sub contracted to Airframe Assemblies on the Isle of Wight.

Well having been fortunate enough to have been involved in warbird re-builds in the past I have to say, knowing the painstaking work that has gone on behind the scenes I feel the progress and quality of the work so far is looking great. Fabulous now to see visual physical evidence of the work. This will truly be the most spectacular warbird re-build for a very long time. Totally unique. Much respect to Sam and all the team. Lets put a Tiffie back into the air!! Keep these videos coming. It really puts us so much closer to the project.

Looking good. Is the "rear end " tailplane, elevators and fin going to be beefed up? Many actual in service aircraft suffered failures. Was this ever fixed in WWII?

Yes, this was fixed during the conflict. The tail was redesigned and no Typhoons with the redesigned tail suffered the structural failure in that area. RB396 is a late model MkIb, and so already features that redesigned tail, so no beefing up required.
