Cadets Tenors in subs during rehearsal the day before the San Antonio regional on 07/21/23. Special thanks to Stan Moore and the Cadets quadline for letting me hang out during their rehearsal.

Great tech. He knows exactly what they need to feel good, and not pushing them to do dumb stuff. He is cool with dirt with a camera on them, because he knows the end result will be vastly better.

Since Lee took over, heck he had Phantom Regiment go from no Spock’s in the 90s to 2 of them for the 96 season.

Hey! I found your account I believe from the San Antonio Blue Devil's lot this year! I was at that lot! I might remember seeing you! I was the one in the black and blue Blue Devils shirt with the grey DCI cap. I didn't know you go to all of these DCI shows! Do you go to all of them?

Cadets quads are goated, but why do so many drumlines clean at show tempo rather than take it down like 100 beats

They spent most of the subs time playing under tempo…

When the music had been learned at a high level, I really liked cleaning at tempo (or close to tempo) because I was able to feel exactly what needed to happen for my hands. When I slow the tempo way down, the mechanics change a lot and it’s like I’m learning a different version of the music. But, there is merit to taking things really slow. A healthy mix of both is good
