Arno H. That is awesome!! Glad you love it too... yes it was so scary... the course keeps you on your toes trying to remember all the new drills each jump but it feel so good every time you land... the scariest of all for me was when you have been jumping out with an instructor 8 times then all of a sudden It was my first solo alone and I was the last person to exit the plane... everything was in my own hands and I couldn’t believe it... so so fun though
@ddon17974 жыл бұрын
@@thebiggsy you should look into static line courses, (what I done) your first jump (I didnt do a tandem) it was at 3,500ft on my own ... no freefall ... but you never have an instructor holding onto you ... most you have when you go into tracking an instructor follows you to make sure you actually do it haha

Good job. I'am training in tunnel for now and just started learning back flying.... next year (2020) probably i will take my AFF course too... it seems i will need 2-3 or 4 max jumps to pass it :) The tunnel helped alot...
@thebiggsy4 жыл бұрын
xhector that’s really cool mate! Yeah the tunnel would be a great way to save time learning in real jumps... I guess 50% or more of the AFF jumps is just figuring out getting stable... so if that was one less thing to worry about that would be great
@ddon17974 жыл бұрын
No, no you wouldn't it's the same skills for stability and turns and what not. It's a tool. Saying itll take you 3 or 4 jumps to get it shows you've done zero research, their is a minimum of what 8 jumps, then 10 consolidation jumps. Also you have the whole existing the plane thing ... hugely important, you have the added weight of a container (parachute) again hugely important, you have altitude to think about then you have canopy flight. Dont under estimate this sport please. All for fresh blood. I've known skydivers with 8-900 jumps that are shit in the tunnels.

That is awesome man! Have fun :) Thanks for the kind words, unfortunately after doing 16 jumps I wasn’t visiting the drop zone often enough and the manager had a chat to me explaining that if I didn’t drop a lot of other activities in my life and dedicate my weekends and money to skydiving I was not welcome at the DZ. I understand what they meant and made the decision to return at a later date to continue jumping more consistently.. which will be soon!! I really want to BASE jump one day

Damn perfect!! And with such a smile haha :D Hv a Q pls.. Am after one tandem, plan maybe one more and then the AFF. My biggest concern is actually not the jumping / flying, but driving of the parachute incl. landing.. Could you pls follow-up on your experience as a beginner while, taking the AFF? Thx a lot, best! Tereza
@thebiggsy4 жыл бұрын
rarasekterezka that’s awesome! So exciting! Ah yes I was nervous for that too. But they will give you lots of training and depending where you go, I think most drop zones now your first AFF jump will be a tandem, but you will be in complete control of your canopy. That is what I had. So you fly the canopy but the instructor is right in your ear. Then after that you will have visual ground guidance with a big arrow as well as a radio in your ear where your instructor will guide you to the ground :)

Is body control harder than it looks? I’ve wanted to do this class for so long but watching other people on youtube lose control sketches me out. You looked great btw!
@thebiggsy4 жыл бұрын
Trent Elliott thanks mate. I think that the body control was a bit hard to figure out. When I was falling thinking about using my arms to stable myself or to turn, I would do the opposite with my legs unknowingly.. it’s just hard because you can’t see yourself, until they show you the video after each jump... with the video walk throughs it’s really easy to see where you’re going wrong. The hard part is remembering those things quickly on the jump.. you can kind of see in mine I was a mess until after 6 we had a big chat about my hips and legs on exit... and 7 was a big improvement... have fun when you do it!!
