I have just downloaded the mod by method , V3 english. Do i need to also download the update file to get the latest changes or is that only if you already have the original downloaded? Thank you

Installing all pacenotes on the first time does the job. In the future you can just get update packs so you don't have to download same notes again or find the new ones from all list

will the game work? Because last time i got a beamng sound mod from minor sound and the game stopped working

You mean after installing my pacenote pack? Sure it will as it works for thousands of people. Of course installing some unofficial mods that change audio files and whatever can cause issues, especially if installation is made wrong
