I just replaced mine . I have an 08 tsx. The process was smooth. Also, I didn't have to take all the brake line bolts off.

How'd those Monroe quick struts hold up? I ordered some for my 2006 TSX and they are sitting waiting to be installed, but I have read so much criticism about the ride height and quality and durability, plus they don't look and feel nearly as tough as the originals. I'm scared to put them on. Mine have 291k on them but they are the original Honda/Showa which are pretty bulletproof.

Honest I got fed up with all parts especially Monroe struts and all alternators any brand go original only

@@RBTheMechanic I appreciate your honesty. I'm leaning towards just ordering some KYB struts and renting a spring compressor. Very slightly cheaper and would probably give me a better ride and last longer. I haven't found a single person yet on the Internet that has praised these Monroe struts for their longevity. Eric the Car Guy does shill the Monroe quick struts and I do respect him, that's the one thing that's making me just think I should put these things on and be done with it. Otherwise I gotta wait another few days for Amazon to deliver the KYB's. It seems like everyone says those are great, they just don't make quick struts.

@@ketoninja I like kyb struts I had only 5 customer use tho cuz the cost but they are much better not sure the quality now cuz all company’s asses out after COVID pandemic on quality of parts

Im doing this replacement right now on a 2005 acura tsx i wanted to go back to stock height bec car is lowered and the new struts are about 2 inches longer than lowering struts, the axle is in the way of the struts fitting into the pitchfork by 2 inches do you think i have to drop the axle down or the control arms ? The part number 172322L says its correct for my car ? Any advice bro ?

@@RBTheMechanic i did everything to a T, i dont know if after all those years of the car being lowered had anything to do with it but those front struts do not align with that pitch for by 2 inches. But thanks bro i appreciate the advice nd nice video 👍

axle grease makes reinserting the fork a breeze. and allows for easy uninstalling should u need for the future.

I just changed my front struts on my Honda 2007. Everything's was good. The only thing's that make me worry is when I put back the wishbone up to the shock breaker tip. When do I stop ? The original Accord the shock breaker had a metal cover at the bottom with a trim / rim and 1 cm space before the tip of the shock breaker. ( Is this the time to put back the upper wishbone srew.😙 Or use a jack to push up about 1 cm until the Trim or Rim. If this the case then I have to pry open the wishbone neck to force up to the rim. Please let me know. Thanks.

@@ramosochoa418 it seems like the shocks u got are no good they suppose to have stopper or u can measure the surface where it was at the old one and mark the new one and stop it at that point

All you needed to to is disconect the link and comes right out with out needing to disconect the upper control arm

that bolt has to be pushed out cuz its splined not your normail fully threaded bolt

LOL. Put your ratchet in reverse and bump the nut. The socket will come loose without all that partying.
