Cool! Was a USAF-brat, Offutt was my Dad's last assignment. Used to stand in that exact same spot to watch -135's (ECs, RCs) and E-4Bs in the early 1980's (40 years ago!!!). Those are some resilient airframes!!

Offutt AFB is putting in a new runway, there fleet is now (temporarily) stationed at Lincoln Nebraska. Awesome to see them flying.....

From what I’ve seen haven’t they split their 135 fleet completely between Offutt and Lincoln, now? Sometimes I’ll be tracking on ADSB and there’s the same ones coming in and out of both airfields.

I’ve serviced this plane, the RC-135 and the J-stars. Never got to see inside the Cobra Ball though.

Forty years ago on March 15, Cobra Ball 61-2664 crashed during landing at Shemya AFB Alaska, killing six crewmembers... the reason for the flyover.
