RC Addiction - LaTrax Teton first look and review.

This is the first look at the new LaTrax Teton (by Traxxas). This is a 1/18 scale mini monster truck from them set to compete in a crowded segment. Is it good enough? Well, so far I like it.

I just got this thing for my boys birthday. Had to take it out and test it a little. Man, am I impressed! I'm playing with this thing more than my wraith! I have to sneak out at nap time or when the boys are in bed so they won't see it! I haven't team it super hard but this thing is pretty quick with the stock battery and can jump pretty good off our rounded curbs and little ramp. Quite enough for some inside stealth runs too.

it does have a lipo cutoff, works on the 2s controllers stays pretty good temp but motor gets a bit hot

I noticed the price is around $125. It still feels a little high. But my young kids may like it to drive around with dad.....

The ESC does have the low voltage cutoff setting according to the online manual, it just needs to be enabled.

You are right, It behaves just like the newer XL5. I am not sure why the printed book did not list it..

why not? you don't have a monster truck. Truggy or erevo with big tires is not a monster truck

Mine will arrive in three days. Very excited! Anyone have suggestions on a brushless setup besides the velineon and vxl3m. I'm not planning on doing this for awhile, but still have been debating on which to go with.

It’s faster than 14 mph. My son has one and it flies. My other son. Car that goes 12 mph and the Teton is faster than it in training mode. And training mode is at 50%
