Darrien O'brien I like that truck but 1\14 scale is a little small I'll keep that in consideration and about how fast does that go?
@darrienobrien759110 жыл бұрын
I have the brushless one, and it will go 20-30 mph. stock. The charge time is great to, depending how you drive you can be out there for 10- 15 minutes, just with an hours of charging.

I love the maintenance videos. Everyone has different ways of doing things and it's always nice to pick up new ideas and alternative methods. Plus it lets me get a good look at the internals of rigs I wouldn't personally own due to cost or not having a place to run them.

Don't ever be embarrassed or ashamed of doing maintenance videos Medic, there are always people like myself who love this sort of thing. It was your build videos that brought me to your channel because I love RC but have never had the pleasure of experiencing anything other than TOY RC cars...ones that can turn without having to back up, if you're lucky. Until I found your vids I never even KNEW there was an RC scene that had cars and parts THIS DETAILED. Seeing axles and transfer cases and transmissions that had ACTUAL METAL GEARS blew my MIND when I saw them. Not to mention real Bead Locks...some even inflatable! Your videos are always so full of information and humorous comments that they are a joy for me to watch. Thank you Medic. I may never get the opportunity to live the RC Life, but I can at least watch you live yours. Keep it coming! (That's what she said...)

Medic, you should cut the tonka truck again, bolt the gas tank part to the frame, and put a hinge on the front of the cab so it flips forward like a real semi! :D
@KraziIvan10 жыл бұрын
Aww, but those mining trucks don't have flip cabs. Think the scale on that would be around 1:24 ish. Those should be around a 20 foot tall tire. :-)

More like this, please. I have a bit of an old-fart attitude toward the R2R stuff, but the kits out today look like great stuff. You learn so much when you have to build it. My first kit was a Tamiya Falcon. I had ball bearing and 'wiper' speed controller upgrades. First run on the track I melted the dog bones. Had the shocks sprung too tight.
@Demon-mg2mt10 жыл бұрын

@IronDragonSC10 жыл бұрын
Dear Medic I also just got this truck almost a month ago and from the moment i took it out i loved it fyi beware of the upper link mounts on the axle, the screws back off easily without threadlock and the plastic pinishers are as bad as everyone says, going slow over the rocks is fine but get any wheel speed and the momentum of the driveline will snap them in an instant. If you want a servo winch up front you can buy the front servo mount and it fits perfectly behind the steering servo. The front stock axleshafts are dogbones and the pins get out of position easily and lock up the front axle. All around a great looking truck and driveline if you find anything i missed feel free to message me on rcsparks. Big fan medic

Hi there ! I love those maintenance videos. Great truck you have there! I got one question for you. While doing such maintenance work, do you happen to grease te motor gear, the reductor pinions, the gearbox and the axles ? I thought they could not be left dry but maybe it's the opposite. I was into planes and boats before so I never had to deal with gears and gearboxes so far. I have something in my mind telling me I should buy me a HG Hemtt 8x8. I just love all the mechanics that's inside. A lot of enjoyable work on the bench, close to my fire... Keep up the good work and thanks for your help. Greetings from Belgium dude !

Haven't read through all 98 comments, so I hope I'm not asking a question that has already been answered. I noticed that you didn't do, or mention, (on camera) any kind of motor break in procedures for the new Tekin 45t. Is that going to negatively affect the performance or life of the motor? Awesome video as usual. Love the maintenance videos.

Brushed motors these days don't really need a break in. I usually hook them up and run them 1/2 battery pack at mid-throttle.. and everything seats itself nicely :)
