RC ADVENTURES - MUD BATH - 5 Trucks get Dirty

Well.. as a true RC Addict, screw that - Im making some Mud! Out comes my Skid Steer, a few Buckets of water, some top soil.. and we got SOME MUD! I have brought out a few Trucks to get soupy - a FrankenCrawler 6x6, a converted vintage metal Tonka Dump Truck, a Powerful Modded 4x4, and my Traxxas Summit! Also, for a Recovery option - I brought out my NEW Tow Truck.. to test it's mite!
I expect each truck to Fail, and though this is a 10 minute video - the film took several hours to film. Interesting things happened to the trucks...

1) Frankencrawler had Mud in it's motor
2) The Beast stripped BOTH Plastic Locker Differential Housings, front and back axle
3) Dump Truck - well, you see in the video
4) Summit had a Transmission servo horn strip taking it out of gear
5) Recovery Tow Truck.. is awesome, and needs stronger Winch Motors ;)

I have an idea, and would like to know people's opinions, even though the top opinion will probably be "throw it away.' I bought a 4x4 Traxxas Slash last tax season, and bought the one with onboard audio (OBA). The thing is, the slash is so damned fast (I've gotten 44 miles per hour so far, but am not the best driver, so that's plenty for me yet), that you only get to hear the OBA as it passes (which sounds cool) and then not while it's 100 feet away (I do a lot of speed runs, in parking lots, still getting better at controlling at high speeds). Another thing is that the OBA speakers RELY on a TAPE connection between the speaker baffle (there is no speaker 'cone') and the inside of the lexan body (which serves as the cone). Every time the truck tumbles or takes a moderate hit, the tape pops, and if it's not a fresh tape seal (no dust at all on the tape), the speakers will pop off, there's nothing you can do about it. I've even tried rubber cement and even superglue once (don't do that). It's just too difficult to keep them glued well. So my idea is, I'd like to pull the OBA out of the slash and put it in my Honcho, with a regular small speaker. It won't be as loud or rumbley without the lexan body, but it should suffice since I am never more than 20 feet from the Honcho .. and thought it'd be pretty neat to have the sounds of a "900 horsepower performance engine under the hood". I also have a Subaru Impreza body that fits my honcho chassis and the 900-hp engine would just sound stupid as hell (and thus hilarious?) in that .. Thoughts/ideas/suggestions/changes? If the only thing you have to say is "throw out the OBA" or "OBA is a joke/toy/etc." then please don't bother to say it. I HAVE it already and am just looking for ways to mess with it, it's costing me nothing at this point. Yes, that post was too long, so thanks for bothering to read it. Tl;dr How should I reuse my Traxxas OBA module in my Honcho/Stampede/other vehicles?

You can buy new tape rings online, like eBay or Amazon, maybe you can try some gorilla tape to hold the mounts down after you do that? People use drywall tape and Shoe Goo to reinforce and fix cracked lexan, could try that too. You should try contacting Traxxas first, they have great customer service!! they might even send you some new rings free or give you a better idea how to fix it. On board audio is awesome!! One of these days I'll get it for my slash, I can't wait!!

I’ve watched this channel now for about 8 months, and the one thing I know for a absolute fact is that this family has spent a literal fortune on rc. Don’t blame them, if I had the money I would too.
