I have been salivating over this Ford BRONCO ever since I saw pictures of the 2017 SEMA Bronco Build Traxxas had at their booth. It was JACKED UP, Original and Caught my Eye, IMMEDiATELY! This truck takes me wayyyy back to my earlier years.. and these trucks used to roam free throughout the 1980's. They were the "Go Anywhere, Cool Guy" Truck to have.. and in my opinion - STiLL iS! I've owned 3 full scale 79 Bronco's... never stopped kicking myself for selling them, especially the last one. Amazing truck, especially with a 460 swapped in for that M series boat anchor... er, "motor". This appears to be loosely based on Ford's "Free wheelin' paint scheme. Awesome rig, though it's missing the spare tire rack on the tailgate!

I’m 49 years old and I have been in the Hobby for 20 years. I will more than likely still be in the Hobby when I am an old man and I will still feel like a 10 year old every time I unbox a new rig! I will also always feel like a kid at Christmas when I am waiting for parts to arrive at the house! Hmmm...... Maybe I will tell my wife to bury me with my Radio a lipo and Favorite Rig so I can Back flip over the Pearly Gates!

I've watched your videos but this one is what convinced me I need to get back to RCs, my last one was a Countach body on a monster truck platform and I have a tracked Land Shark buggy style RC back in the 90's. I love the old style Broncos so what I did was purchase the TRX-4 Bronco, the chrome bumper guard, spare tire carrier, and LED kit.

I'd rather be ripping in my 1971 black lowered F 100 short bed bump side p.u., but between those two defiantly the big bad Bronco. In high school a buddy of mine had a red one, man we went all over in that thing, partying, wheeling,working you name it, these were good good times. SRT Viper 51 Probably wasn't clear when I said I'd rather be ripping in my 1971 f100 which is the body style before the Broncos. 67 to 72 were called bump sides, because of the bump on the side. BRONCOS such as the one on r.c sparks video is called a dentside because of the Dent on the side 1973 to 1979. Thanks for sharing. Have a good one. Peace bro.

SRT Viper 51, He's not talking about a step side,he's talking about the body line down the length of the truck. Late 60's and early 70's year model trucks are known as bump sides because the body line comes out,like a bump,and later 70's model trucks,like this Bronco,are called dent sides and go in,like a dent. This one is hard to see that because of the chrome trim on it covering the "dent". Get it? Dent side and bump side...

The Bronco have a less longer wheel base to be able to put another body :) as well the wheel well on the chassis is an good thing for custom body

I would argue that it's a less longer wheel base than other models... however it does tend to have a shorter wheel base that makes it more difficult to ad other style bodies...

I have the Defender, and I painted my own body for it. I painted it a Magpul Flat Dark Earth color, and made it a Special Forces themed truck. Looks more tactical than the tactical unit! I love how scale looking you can make the Defender. But that Bronco is something special, right out of the box!

The body is so nice and expensive that I don’t think I’d have fun driving it. The bodies on my other Traxxas vehicles never last very long but they are inexpensive, so it’s no big deal. That bronco body is selling for around $150 vs about $20 for a stampede body. Good thing Traxxas also sells this truck in kit from without a body for those who would rather make something custom.

I bought the red and black body version a few weeks back. Love how the fenders are mounted to the chassis instead of the body like the other TRX4 models. I left it all stock and have bashed the crap out of it. I haven't broken anything yet, fingers crossed.

I can attest to the durability of the Traxxas servos, I had the original one in my slash 2wd for 4 years. I was shocked when it went out because I had started to believe it never would. I got the truck in ‘10, and the servo lasted FOUR YEARS!!! I drive the truck a lot for 3 2/3 of that time.

I simply love the BRONCO,the way it is set up,the colors are great together. The chrome bummers really bring out the beauty of the body style and the colors of the body fits it perfectly. It would be hard to put that first scratch on it

This is a beautiful truck man. I realise you posted this years ago but I've only just found it tonight. I m here in Australia and only just this week missed out on getting one of these. I initially payed a pre order deposit on a Ford F150 high trail in metallic brown. Ive been waiting almost a year for that to arrive. So I thought I would just get myself a Bronco. Just as nice and with a canopy. The shop still had one left and Ive already been waiting almost a year for the high trail. Well I just missed out this week. Damn . Traxxas has been held up at the Port of Melbourne in Victoria Australia due to a tiny trace amount of asbestos been found in a shipping container back in August 2023. So I almost got myself a Bronco and just missed out. The original TRX 4 chassis is really good and because it's not raised up high it doesn't have the tendency to roll over like the high trail does. Apparently the high trail has that problem and so does the Landrover defender because it's top heavy with the roof rack and fuel cans and jack. Beautiful looking too the Landrover defender. So I'm still waiting for the high trail. 1 guy at my local hobby shop joked that by time the high trail arrives in Australia it will be obsolete. Come on Traxxas what the f#$king hell is going on here ? Is this a joke? Apparently the asbestos detected in August was so small but due to Australian regulations the container was sent back. And it was from a slipper clutch possibility in a Traxxas Bandit or Slash. This is now January 9 2024. 0:43 am.
