Brilliant video, really enjoyed watching this. Will the UK ever have another world champ in 10th off road?

I still think Neil could do it at the right track. His form in Britain is still very good.

Neil winning the WC on 5 cells, being told afterwards is still one of the best stories.

Please keep this series going. Would love to see some old race winning pan cars or early touring cars on the bench.

that is pretty cool, i raced a B4 graphite for a few years back in the day, came off racing 1/8 buggies nitro back to 1/.10 electric, had previously raced a JRx pro and before that a Turbo Ultima and Turbo Ultima back in the mid to late 80`s. Both the Kyoshos were with the mechanical speed controls, actually the RC10 controls because they were more precise. 66 still running RC a true lifetime hobby.

I love the B4, it's an absolute classic. I bought one real cheap a year or so after people transitioned to the B5 and up. The wiring was a tad strange though. Almost like the ESC was wired in series with the batteries.

Back when buggies actually raced on dirt rather than carpet, and back when manufacturers made RTRs of their racing kits because they actually appealed to bashers and could be used to spread out tooling costs.

We put the O rings in the original SC10..(2010?) just like they are in there, we did it to help the slap inside there when they develop wear…. Not sure why he did it on a new one…? Maybe preparing for slop if there was lots of sand or something..?

For old American buggies you'll be covered with .050, 1/16, 5/64 and 3/32 hex drivers and 3/16, 1/4, 5/8 and 11/32 nut drivers. Anything else and someone used the wrong stuff lol Great vid!

Plastic chassis???!!! This is the greatest RC race car of all time, and its chassis is plastic? Back in 1989, graphite was all the rage. Joel Johnson's Customized Ultima, JRX2, Ultima Pro, RC10 Graphite, TQ10, RC10 Team Car Graphite, RC10GX Stealth Prototype, RC10L Graphite, Tamiya Egress... I thought all the world champion cars had chassis made of either aluminum, fiberglass, or graphite. Plastic chassis is reminiscent of the Tamiya Frog.

See that shock pushout..? Thats whats SUPPOSED to happen…. All these shock rebuild videos tell you to try to make it not have any push or pullback… you want pushback… not pressure, but let off and shaft should come back some… 1/4-1/2 the length of the shock, but it depends on the shaft thickness…
