Most definitely a a great rescue rig from the way it handles..no added bulk or weight. not sure it can handle choppy water though... flipping it would not be good..thanks for explaining.
@EP50009 Жыл бұрын
its way wider than any boat you would be rescuing, why would it be unstable?

Wondering if I can attach that to the back of a 6 ft kayak, would need more power maybe? Only need it to go 2.5-3 mph though.
@EP500094 ай бұрын
would need lot more power, a trolling motor would work way better

Hello. Great video and great idea. I plan on building one. How did you attach the prop to the motor? I see some nuts in bolts in the video. Did you have to buy those separately? Also, did you screw that helicopter tray for the battery on the PVC pipe or did you just zip tie it? Thanks.

Question, does the prop fit the prop adapter for the flashhobby motor or did you have to make any modifications to the shaft diameter?

no you will just need to drill the prop center, its easy and does not need much precision

Hello. I believe I ordered the same motor and esc as yours but the motor has a 3.5mm male plug and the esc has a 6.0mm female connector. I can’t seem to find an adapter for them. What did you use and could you provide a link please? Thanks

thanks for the video! Im a total newbie. I know NOTHING. I found the prop, the motor, the servo, and the flyway 150 "thing". I am having trouble selecting a RC Radi controller that will "crank 150" side to side. Can you suggest a link? Also a battery link would be great. Sorry for being ignorant to this, trying to learn. thanks!

any remote that can set endpoints, such as a spektrum dx5 rugged, noble nb4, ones that usually have a screen will have it. I use a 5000mah 4s battery fr amazon with a xt90 plug, which should be the plug for the 150a esc
@kentsaxon4684 Жыл бұрын
@@EP50009 thank you so much. I notice those controllers are $250 or so. None of the cheaper ones in the $80 range will work ok for this? Trying to make this on a budget as I will only use this for a specific situation and have no plans on using the controller for any other RC vehicle as I dont have any.

I’m just about ready to build this rig but I have just one more question please. I noticed in other rescue boat videos, the builders encased their ESCs in inner tubes pieces to water proof them and but their receiver, battery and connectors in a Tupperware container. Why did you not do anything like that on your rig? Do you think it’s a good idea to do that? Thanks
@EP50009 Жыл бұрын
ESC is waterproof, so is everything else. Battery can always get wet, they are air tight for a reason.

What size prop? Pusher or normal?? What size battery??started buying stuff to make one that Paul Deity (Marco Deity?) designed but it has a lot more crap on it. I might rather make your version.
@EP500092 жыл бұрын
Its a 11x5 drone prop. whatever size battery you want, mines a 4s 5000, which gives it a ton of run time and lots of power.

My build was much simpler. I cut a small branch off of a tree, that was in the shape of a "Y", and I tape it to one of my others boats and then go out and rescue the dead boat. Simple, Huh?
