Great work. 👌 Too many people convert the other way, it's good to see someone keeping the faith alive. 😁

Very cool. I fly nitro and electric helis. 10 years ago people said nitro was dead but it's still alive and well. I fly nitro more than electric.

Hey! sorry to come back to such an old video, but are you still not giving out the STL file? I'd really love to print one but i don't know how to model well, I want my boat to be as perfect as possible!

awesome modification, dont get me wrong,Powerboats with brushless are a great thing, but in my opinion there is no way that brushless can replace the feeling of a nitro..Its too bad that nitro boats are almost disappeared..Thundtiger,Kyosho,Graupner,Proboat and so one have stopped to produce this things.. Now to your boat, have you allready considered to put a watercooled nitro Engine in it?It should make it more reliable and you can use the the upper cover of the Spartan without problems..I think a Kyosho gxr-28 mr engine would be a nice choice for the size of the Spartan..alternatively you can put more expensive engines like CMB,Novarossi an so one, they have very nice marine nitro engines.. However,Im glad to see that other people makes also crazy things like a brushless to nitro conversion, simply awesome an very accurate build! Nice regards from germany,

Thanks for the comment and engine suggestions. I run it with the lid off to keep it cool. It would be nice to liquid cool the engine and exhaust so I could get the cover back on it. Was fun just to get it ripping around. I had to glue some wood engine mounts due to the heat of the engine softening the plastic.

@@stanleytownsdin4717 Welcome mate :-) Anyway, the best modification you can do to improve the overall performance is to put a watercooled nitro engine into the Spartan ,one of the nice advantages is that water have less variations on his own temperature (lower latency properities),so after you set-up your carb it will runs always reliable ! Yeah, the wooden engine mounts don"t have issues with the engine heat but you must impregnate it to make sure that the wood won"t be damaged by the water...This is the way how it was done from the manufacturers for many years. Instead of wood you can make the engine mounts from a 3mm fiberglas plate , this is nowadays the best method you can do! Additionally you should consider to protect the the inner of your ABS plastic hull ,be aware thats ABS plastic be damaged from the nitro fuel , othewise it could get brittle with the time. You could protect it if you apply at the engine bay region one layer of fiberglas with epoxyd resin . However it is importante to clean the hull after each run ! When I was starting with nitroboats I"ve damage my first hull with the nitro, because I wasn"t aware of this issue :-( It was a Graupner Key biscayne with an 32. O.S engine in it , it"s roundabout the same size as your Spartan , the hull abs plastic has cracked , anyway I still have the boat on my collection because that was my first nitro boat , one day I will repair the hull and rebuild the bad guy. At the moment I have three other fully build nitro boats and one gas powered one :-). Unfortanately I haven"t updated videos of the nitros on my channel yet , but they are still some brushless boats of my collection, feel free to check they on my small KZbin channel Hopefully you will continue your Spartan project , would be nice if you share more videos of it ,hoppe I could give the one or other usefull advise to you ;-) Nice regards ,
