Great tips, thank you! I'll will try the super glue on my B6.1 rear arms too, as they get sloppy very quickly.

Just spend the morning removing the slop out of my car and could not believe the results after. So much better, I didn't time the laps but it was like night and day.

Unfortunately slop builds quickly once car is raced :D

This was a really intresting watch. I have a M02 I like to drive, I could see if I could unslop it, it probably has like 360degrees of slop if you add all its different slop angles together 😆

I used to race the M02, fun to see the excessive body roll due to the single monoshock :D

Keep an eye out for an old XTM exterminator buggie. That things is the most percision out of all the 1/8 buggies I have, It's even better than my RC8. The biggest issues i have with my R/C doing over 50 mph....are TIRE wear. i have to duct tape the inside of the tires.lol...You dont know a fast R/C is until a tire explode or the foam insert flies out o n you. R/C tires arnt steel belted..it is what is it. A lot of R/C designs are horrible or requires lots of shimmimg and bearings replacements.

Quick question. Will a formula 1 rear tire fit on a touring car. Not very familiar. Trying to get a nice offset going

I want to start on the M chassis. I have been with 4x4 for years. I have experience. What do you recommend? m05, m06, m07, m08? I'm not going to compete, it's fun in a smooth backyard and things like that Thanks!
@rccartips

The newer ones are better m07/m08. Depends if you prefer fwd or rwd.

Wouldn't running longer ball cups affect Ackerman on the steering and roll centers on the camber links?
@rccartips
@rccartips 5 жыл бұрын
Do you mean the metal ball studs? Yes it would affect the things you mentioned. :)

@@rccartips so to run slop free some geometry change is unavoidable.
@rccartips
@rccartips 5 жыл бұрын
Not really. Best geometry on the links is usually parallel or slightly not parallel. This already gives a free moving link. Only the M06 in the video has a bad rear link horizontal angle. Extending the ball stud on the rear hub did not really change any geometry.
