I used to love those mini slot car tracks when I was a kid. I vividly remember getting one for Christmas in the late 80's. It was offroad themed and the car were little buggies. It's been so long, but I believe it was called Racing Hoppers from Tyco.

Great video! I see that this is the Wild Bill's Hobbytown. Wild Bill's was in Irving for many years; lived in DFW '84-2000. I recognized the old balsa rack from the Irving store. I worked at Bobbye Halls' Hobby House '85-'97; all the shops knew each other and would refer customers to another shop when needed. Fun times indeed...

I purchased an Arrma Mojave 6S BLX on a big Sale where it went down to the price of the 4S and i just completed installing all of the EXB red bling hop ups, i really enjoy the building part of this rc hobby. Thank you for sharing, i live between two Hobbytown stores in my area, Tampa, FL. and everytime i go in there, it takes me an hour to get out cause i also walk the whole store and i always come out with extra stuff. There is also a "My Tobbies" hobby store and they have an amazing Arrma and Traxxas rc collection from parts to cars and trucks. That has been my go to store lately.

The hobby town in Bear Delaware is a good one. Owner and staff are great. Prices are also extremely competitive. I’ve gotten great discounts there. I’ve bought over 10 RC’s there in the last year and a half.

I was gonna get my boys a couple groms for Christmas but I ended up getting the a couple of Redcat ascent 18. Those little guys are awesome rigs. My boys love them. They are turning their room into a mini crawler track with all their other toys

Since moving to the Texas area from Chicago this is my go to hobby store. I try and visit each HobbyTown in different cities. I really like the one in Orland Hills (Chicago).

I collect 1/32 as well as H0 slot cars. The larger 1/32 and 1/24 slot cars require a bit of room to set up a track on a table where as you can set up an HO track on a 4X8 sheet of wood.

Jato 4x4 VXL is not out yet, Mark! Comes out early next year... Here in Europe it is easy to find a Mudboss (not Modified). I think hey shipped them to us, since dirt oval isn't a thing here. I doubt they will sell well, and once all the Mudboss branded ones are gone, i doubt Traxxas will import the Modified branded ones to europe and probably discontinue it here.

I picked up the new Outcast EXB in. the fall. I much prefer my 8s Kraton EXB vs the Outcast EXB. All depends what type of driving you enjoy.

We need more hobby towns in the west bad with kb toys and toys r us closing down and now soon big lots 80s and 90s toys will be a thing of the past I used too collect the cap guns when I was a kid and just buy dozens of the caps later on there pretty cool but with that being said hobby town is gonna be the place to go for this kinda of toys and I’m still gonna call it a hood on a car or any vehicles it’s Merica Lol. In fact, My 15 years old nephews just love the fast and faster rc car. But fast speed means the fast speed destory problems. So we choose the JIUSI PT14R RC Car 1/14 for them. There is the speed level function. They can play from the 25% Speed to 100% speed.....

Looks better than my hobbytown. It doesn’t have anywhere near the volume of products this one does. And they’re always out of common little items, like Lipo safe bags and pouches. Or certain traxxas or spektrum batteries. I wish there were more big hobby shops in my area of Illinois. I hate online shopping for stuff like this. There’s no substitute for being in the hobby shop atmosphere walking around checking stuff out.
