How about a video on setup of a sc10 pro4 for dirt oval I race at Countyline raceway in Missouri.
@jbtricklerc
@jbtricklerc 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Alan, I greatly appreciate the support and comment. To be honest, I have no experience with the SC10 Pro4 as the dirt oval short based cars around here are strictly Traxxas based. I did look at the SC10 Pro4 online and see a lot of differences such as Battery and motor location difference compared to the Traxxas. If you check out my Traxxas slash to Street stock episode I do discuss a lot of helpful info and setup basics for that car. Some of that will translate over to the SC10 as well.

I greatly appreciate the kind words and support! I got burned out, racing every weekend and editing videos 3 nights a week was a lot of work on top of working a full time job and being a family man. I plan to return in the future to some capacity, just haven't decided how or when yet lol. But I really truly appreciate the comment and support! It means a lot.

Flying Fortress, I've been taking a much needed break away. Racing every weekend and editing videos nearly every day in the evenings took a lot of time away from my family. I do plan on returning but in a smaller scale than before to maintain that much needed family time between hobbies. I hope you have been doing well.

Just out of curiosity Is a dif locker Beneficial in a street stock class That has hardly any rules?
@jbtricklerc
@jbtricklerc Жыл бұрын
Great question. In my experience no. But I've only done high bite dirt oval rc racing. And with that we do everything we can to free up the diff. Now we generally have the slipper near lock but the differential can still smoothly work and rotate. It's a huge benefit for corner speed along with other things.
@joespillers8153
@joespillers8153 Жыл бұрын
Good deal thanks for the info By the way I did all my Differentials off of your setup Works great I'm just getting a little more leakage Then what I'm warning Using the 35 weight Oil You did say you can go up from that to slow the leakage correct?
@jbtricklerc
@jbtricklerc Жыл бұрын
@@joespillers8153 absolutely, you can go up or even explore other options that you may find will serve your specific needs even better. That trick has served me and several friends very well for many years. Others have used the team associated green slime, and actual motor oil. The reason? Finding something you already had laying around that's works as light as possible. I've had people comment on this video like "why didn't you just use RC diff oil?" You absolutely can, but if you didn't already have it and needed it then what? Plus, being able to have multi uses of things will keep the clutter and cost down.

D.J. I greatly appreciate it but I like to see what you could turn it into. Its funny you mention that though. Lil Indy (Track that closed in Spartanburg) and Fountain Inn all started out as Losi Mini Late Model tracks lol. They went 1/10 scale as the Losi's were fading out.

What scale is your dirt late models
@jbtricklerc
@jbtricklerc Жыл бұрын
Depends on the class. The purpose built cars like my 21.5 foam tire car is 1/10 scale. Anything that is Traxxas based they call 1/10 scale but are closer to 1/8 scale.
