Are you using a ball diff in your RWD RC Drift car?

Thanks for sharing. I had no idea I was running my ball diffs wrong all these years. I will have to re-adjust all my kits now.

I’m glad to help. I was the same way. Let me know how much you like the adjustment

Great upload , Always wanted to see someone tackle this issue and You've just answered all questions , Great test method too , I've used the Ball Diff in My MST RMX 2.5 and I ended up setting it up so it was almost locked again , On the other hand my MD 1.0 (internal gears , not a ball diff) Diff is completely open and free and I like how it feels , Its really personal preference and what works for each individual . After watching this upload I think I'll try to loosen the MST RMX 2.5 Ball diff and test it super loose ,Thanks for the info , Always good to see new Ideal Auto Factory video notifications

Oh cool! I’m glad I could help! I seriously wanna get my hands on an MD1.0. Seems like its not a common chassis that people fall in love with. How do you like the car? Thank you for watching. I appreciate it!

@@idealautofactory After Having the Chassis now for a couple of weeks with a very small amount of tuning and tweaks (no thanks to the Yokomo Manual constant addendums) its one of the most balanced and predictable chassis out there , I've driven Sakura D4 , RMX 2.0 and 2.5 and RRX , some YD2 variants , And my own heavy tuned MST RMX 2.5 , The MD is already handing as well as the RMX 2.5 with the new V1.2 addendum settings for the Manual (thanks Nez0 Bad Shoppee) The rear Diff seems to be one of the best I've driven and its effortless to do constant lines , So it Wasn't exactly love at first drive (because of the incorrect settings from the manual) But now its prob the best handling chassis I have , The way it transfers weight is really snappy and its steering rack (once setup right) is super smooth and really precise , Over all if You want a performing competition car than this is it ,

for off road buggy racing I run a ball dif. when it comes to carpet it's a gear dif but also depends, if I'm running on the clay indoor track, at my work I now run a gear dif due to how grippy it is. I always thought with a drift car people ran a gear dif locked no matter what.

Yea spool(locked) is the hardest to drive starting out for us drifters. Its also the simplest. If you can drive a spool, it becomes easier to drive the other diffs and it will also make you faster like how you said it does for the buggies. I’m still learning so its nice to know the diffs have a similar effect on a buggy
