Massive Large Scale RC Jet Twin Turbine Phantom F4 flying at the Temora Jet Meeting held September 2014. This turbine airplane is amazing to see. Apologies for the sun light creating shadows.

I have never understood why have such a detailed aircraft such as this F-4 and then paint it orange? why go to all that trouble making everything's to scale if you're not going to paint it a paint scheme and Squadron tail? I know the actual aircraft are painted not to be seen and you have to be able to see it when your flying but ORANGE? come on!
@WildHBill7 жыл бұрын
Do a little bit of research and you will find that the scheme is actually based on a full scale GDR F-4. www.zim-pix.com/german-f-4f-phantom-ii---3716-test-phantom.html

www.fotocommunity.de/photo/phantom-mit-sonderlackierung-50-jahre-virtualwinner/16515316 This phantom actually does not belong directly to the german airforce, but instead belongs to an institute doing research on aircraft types. This particular F4 was painted orange because of the 50th anniversary of this institute. Depicted in the link above is the original, full-scale F4.

I don't understand why you would choose to build a aircraft which has really bad flight cararistics.
@costaricaflyer15326 жыл бұрын
HEY!!!! America (McDonnell Douglas) built the F4 to prove to the world that even a brick can fly if you strap on a big enough engine!
@c208driver66 жыл бұрын
Poor landing technique. Why do I always see them pushing that nose down or if not that, allow the nose to dip like that? Try a stabilized approach next time and see how that works.
@basimpsn6 жыл бұрын
Because there is no instrument warning about your sink rate...sometime the pilot have to look for some kind of indication of a stall then try to arrest it before it hits the ground lol..This might be a 50lb plane
@c208driver66 жыл бұрын
Dude....what are you talking about? This has nothing to do with sink rate or instruments. Flying model aircraft is all visual. You don't "look" for a stall. You should know your aircraft and know the envelope it operates in. These "pilot" have the money to buy expensive toys, yet don't have the skill to fly them correctly.
@basimpsn6 жыл бұрын
Steve Gimena that right it's all visual so you look for sink rate while pulling back your throttle...this is not a fomie jet dude.

Timothy Toutant go vietnam camo or air defence grey. Wow, lucky to be getting such a awsome toy i can only afford electric edf jets. I have a 70mm f5 that will do around 130mph it flies perfect even at low speeds.
@Mrtcoltpilot566 жыл бұрын
Springwood Slasher agree. Mine will be in the VX-4 Bicentennial scheme.
@springwoodslasher796 жыл бұрын
Timothy Toutant i had a smaller 65mm f4 it would do over 140mph but it did not like to fly slow. I took a wrong turn in that thing and it flew away at high speed never to be seen again.
@springwoodslasher796 жыл бұрын
Timothy Toutant f4 hands down is my favorite jet. I grew up in Springfield Illinois and we had the 183rd fighter group that flew f4s almost every day and to my luck we lived right next to the airport it was amazing. Before they passed the law banning them from breaking the sound barrier we would here booms all the time.
