Picked one of these up a couple of years ago. Great boat. I have hammered this boat quite hard since I built a recovery boat but have never flipped it. It is such a deep hull and has a such a low center of gravity it is very difficult to turn in over. Not saying it is impossible but I have never done it even when I tried. Great fun and fairly quiet so does not attract much attention. Went back and forth between Lipo and Nickel when I got it and noticed very little difference in speed. Only difference I noticed was run time. I initially intended to go brushless but never have. Have lots of fun with it the way it is.

I had one of these a while back. I think it’s the best beginner Rc boat. It’s plenty fast on a 2s lipo. Big enough to handle a little chop, durable and good looking. And at a reasonable price. 👍🏻

So cool to see you guys get this boat! I have had it for about 4 years, its a great platform. It is pretty great out of the box except for the rtr spectrum radio gear gets way shorter range than my flysky stuff.

I absolutely love the look of this boat, great value for money and nearly purchased it. The winner for me was a volantex SR80pro. The Stealthwake was available at the local hobby store. It worked out about $40AUD difference in price to get the SR80 from Banggood and set it up with a 3300mah 4S. Self righting, larger in size, all metal hardware in the rear end and more battery options to power it. anyway thanks for a great review all the best Allen

So this video prompted me to add a bigger boat to my lil Black Marlin Rage, and my Pro Boat Jet Jam… They are super fun, but a windy day cut’s back on my runtime… I had been thinking of a larger scale, and then I saw this video… A few day’z later I gave a shout to my local hobby shop and they had one in stock… Of course I got it home and charged up the stock battery… After finishing up another lil project on my R/C workbench I headed out to da lake… I luv your content and honest commenting… You keep it interesting and fun, while keeping it ‘real’…

I picked up my son's and I our first boats! What a blast! The 17" Lucas Oil and miss geico. Absolutely a lot of fun! We both did happen to take on water....now I'm having to replace the steering servo in the Lucas. Now I want to upgrade to a larger one that is brushless with self riding. What do you recommend? Btw...note to self...have a kayak to recover for when you get out of range. What is the range for the ones I bought? I tried looking around but couldn't find any info.

I still haven't get my kyosho jetstream 600 out yet.. but I wanted this boat because I heard alot bad reviews on the kyosho jetstream 600. But the kyosho has self righting. It's like the wltoys fills up one side and rights itself. But people saying the hull on kyosho is thin. But I have the older version in blue and orange. But their kyosho jetstream 600 is now white and blue now.

The stealthwake is a very stable boat, takes waves really well and looks great. Unfortunately, a 2 cell lipo will burn up the motor very quickly. Went through 3 brushed motors and speed controls ( all replaced under warranty by Horizon) before switching to a brushless motor. Now run 3 cell lipos and it rocks. One of my favorite boats now.

Udi rc 1005 is a little faster and it self rights.. Upgrade the udi-rc’s Esc to 90A+ Runs 4s and you’ll have a legit fast boat.

Depends... booth of these are shłtty by their own right since they are designed to give you the least amount of stuff for your money. Traxxas has more acces to stuff if something brakes (it will) Proboat is easier to upgrade better acces to everythnig in the boat (not crammed in like the traxxas blast). But noene of them are good in stock form. Traxxs if you have the newer model with the stinger engine will burn the esc if it has the older motor the motor will burn. Stealthwake will burn the esc really fast even faster than the traxxas one. The stealthwake right from the box can use 2s batteries. Traxxas has a mroe durable body if you hit something since it's softer to better at impact reduction. None fo them are fast but good starting platform. If you are strapped for cash but still want one of these traxxas as of 2024 jun is 149.99 right from traxxas the stealthwake is between 189.99-199.99 so i bit more expensive but 2s capable. You can buy an xl5 esc for the traxxas aronud 40 bucks and it will be faster and can sue also 2s batteries and will have reverse on it. And the price will be basically the same. Think about it which of these criteria matter the most for you ...also i know i made you read this much sorry 🤣
