What kind of flux and solder are you using? You definitely should be getting better joints. Look for acid core (not rosin) solder WITH lead, and the plumbers flux that are acid based. Are wire wheel on the dremel will work just as well as the pink stone without wearing out so fast. Great videos on the tug!

Woulc be better soldered using an electric soldering iron acid flux and harder solder.
