I have been working on the plans for my remote mower, this mower is the best I have seen. has some of the things i am putting on mine except mine will have a weed eater on it also. not that am lazy just cant walk . Good job

We avoided a microcontroller on this mower. Everything runs 12v and if the reason you are using microprocessor is to operate the relay etc. then try using an rc relay switch to cut the relay on and off. Also your motor has a lot of current going through your relay. We tried many relays at first to withstand and they were rated to withstand the max current but could not in reality and fried them to the closed position. The best relay is to use a double pole, double throw or make your own out of 2 double pole single throw, which are cheaper and readily available on Amazon. If you send me your email ill send you the correct way to hook up the motor, there is a certain way you have to hook up the kill switch/relay for the motor because it can also look as if the relay is staying closed if the correct sequence is not wired correctly.

Nice project, i make the same one mower but i have a weight(250kg) problem right now, 24v 180w motors are too weak, do you have any recommendation for motors?

I have 24v 180W motors and a mower weight of about 110 kg with a 76cm mower. I hope they can do it.

I made one with about 180W motors that weighs 300lb. It works at 22A (for 2 motors) moving at mowing speed which is 35% power that the controller can give to the motors. You can get an idea to scale up or down from there. There are 4 pole wheelchair motors on ebay that are more powerful than that at 300W.

Chose one that travels the distance you need. Then make sure it is fairly fast. You can always slow down the actuator speed in your control box, along with the stopping points on your actuator arm., The Actuonix Linear Actuator Control Board is what I use.
