@@RC4ever I bet you didn't think it would fly as well as it does and is a lot more fun then you expected. My flying buddy put 90mm fans in his, as he upgrades everything, but even he said it wasn't necessary. Put the Mig fans in mine and it was still almost too much. His looks a little odd flying around full throttle while the decals are being stripped off. 🤣

@@hughwiedman9711 Decals being stripped off is what I'd expect from that upgrade, LMAO. This one is already silly fast if I open throttle too much. I fly most of the time at idle and low throttle settings, otherwise the jet accelerates so much it looks anything but scale, lol. But still probably a good idea to upgrade to larger EDFs to further improve efficiency. And heck yes, I definitely expected such a jet to fly for longer (greater aspect ratio wings are expected to give a better aerodynamic efficiency), but the difference is quite ludicrous! :D

@sambuvca22 Ah, well, I wouldn't say I have it dialed in yet... certainly not until I move the CG further back and replace the nozzles by some 3DP ones with the correct thrustline. Be careful when adding thrust, if you do it too suddenly, particularly at low speeds, it will ditch the nose badly. As for throws, I just like to go full throws everywhere with lots of expo to soften the reaction near center stick. ;) Also recommend to install a softer spring on the nose gear to avoid bounces during touch down, they are nearly impossible to recover from otherwise! Keep speed up a bit just in case during the final approach.

Yes it is. I don't feel like the jet needs much more power, since I find myself gliding most of the time and have plenty of thrust for verticals and more speed than necessary for a jet like this when you fully open throttle... that said, I know from people in RCG that modded the jet to 90mm EDFs that they gained thrust and efficiency. So it does indeed make sense to upgrade EDF size if you have the will and patience to, but it's not really necessary. What I'd deem necessary is to replace the awful stock nozzles by some with a properly aligned thrustline. Each time you hit the throttle this thing wants to nose down badly.

Nope, the jet is all stock. Didn't even bypass the MCB this time. The only considerable mod I'm using is to power the stock UBEC from a separate 2S 850mAh Li-Po instead of from the main battery packs that feed the EDFs.

Incredible flying! I am still waiting to maiden mine. I’ve flown the FMS Futura 80mm, Freewing Venom, and Freewing 70mm 16. Is that sufficient to step up to this?

Thanks! Yes, I think so! You should have no problem with this one, it's very noble in the air. Just be careful that the jet wants to pitch down when you add throttle. It would pay off to replace the nozzles by some 3D printed ones with the correct alignment. One way or another, don't go from 0 to 100% throttle too quickly when doing a low flyby, it could send the plane into the ground! ;) Also, flaps help a lot slowing the model down when landing.

The A10 would have helped step into an F16. Setup and look for the working CG consensus online. I think ArthurRc has a good setup video for it on YT. You'll have no problem with good rates, CG, throttle calibration, etc. It's a warbird with twin edfs. You want the same landing gear type on all three, that's the one update I recommend. And use a little throttle on landing otherwise it'll bounce. Truly a peach to fly!
