Rc505 Mk2 Tips Ep7 - Fake Side Chain Compression

This is an easy way to get the pumping effect of 4-on-the-floor beats. It uses a step sequencer to produce a harsh cut in the signal which is then smoothed out by the Slow Gear effect.

Holy shit! Avh what's up! Didn't ever expect GBB quality to drop by my channel# How was this done on the mk1? There isn't a step sequencer if I remember correctly. Not doubting you, just curious

I used a slicer and slow gear together aswell to get a sidechain effect. It will work without a sequencer to😁

I used to use the rc505mk2 just as an interface and Monitor Controller because Looping with it was not working for me. Then i realised the Problem with the dissapering kick Youre tutorial helped me to eliminate that Problem. I thing i'll try using the rc505mk2 more the way it is ment to be used. PS. I don't beatbox at al.

If Phantom power is active it does so on both xlr inputs or you can select just one of the two?

You activate it per XLR input. You can have a condenser in input 1 and like a passive sm58 in input 2 no problem
