It makes me proud to have worn the airforce blue uniform and been a small part of such a great service to our country. The youth we trained have gone on to fulfill their aspirations and our hope for their futures. Good work all.

*GREAT !!!!* After the Battle of Britain in 1940 ..... a numerous Polish very experienced fighter pilots were sent from UK to Canada, to train young Canadian Fly Boys to fly and combat in the air. Some of those Poles worked hard in the Oshawa Municipal Airport as instructors. Today @ the Oshawa, Ontario, small City Airport.... there is NO even a small memory or the recognition at all for their involvement in training Canadian aviators during the World War II ... That's too bad !!!!

Coincidence, tonight i was out to supper with my sister, my son and his girlfriend. The latter was having a tough time with the last sips of her beer. So i belted out a favourite 401 drinking song. "Here's to Sharina she's true blue, tried to get to heaven but, went the other way, so drink chug-a-lug, drink!"...

I'm a little disappointed that there was no mention of the RCAF being in Germany in the early 1950's until at least the late 1970's. No mention of the Cold War whatsoever.

Why spend so much time on the false starts, instead of focusing on the accomplishments?

Here's 13 minutes of my life I'll never get back. In my opinion, apart from laying blame to the politicians and high brass this is pure junk . I expected a lot more history.
