RCF 705 AS-II in 2024: What You Need to Know

Have you used the RCF 705 AS-II or any of its competitors? What are your thoughts?

I’ve just purchased a pair of RCF 932’s waiting on delivery but now looking to purchase a subwoofer to complete my little set up, I’m leaning towards the 705.

If I don't care about portability or weight but about overall bass and build quality, you would lean more towards the RCF705/708mk3 or the Yamaha DXS15/18mk2 for EDM use in a large room? Art910a would serve as tops

Yeah, for sure! If portability isn't the issue and you want tight and sub by low end, then I would grab the Yamaha DXS18XLF or the 15 if you want something slightly lighter. The standard DXS subs are great too, but not as subby as the XLF series. I would lean towards Yamaha over RCF if weigh wasn't an issue. If you want to spend a bit less, or just want RCF, then the RCF 708 is still a great buy! As a general rule, 15” speakers give you a little more punch (12” punchier still), and 18” will give you more subfrequency.

@luky85 for sure! Always trust your ear, but its good to do a bit of research first so you at least know what you would want to AB when you walk into the shop! 👍

Hi Gary im using RCF evox12, and im planing to add two more speaker to help when its bigger Venue. Any speaker that you can reccomend..

Are you using one or two? I have been looking at getting a pair of these for my band! Are you looking for extra tops or subs? These subs are the same ones used on the Evox 12, so they would probably pair well if you need more low-end!

@maizesoft are they expensive? The RCFs are relatively cheap!

Maybe learn how to use them first 😊 The 705’s are awesome. Are they Bass Boss’s NO, and not priced anywhere near the but compare apples to apples next time

Yeah it doesn't seem like an overly similar comparison! I think the price, weight and size of the RCF makes them super useful for bands working in all sizes of room!
