This is a very tractable engine in all respects. Super easy flick (hand) start hot or cold with no bites or kicks. I swings a broad range of propellers as I used on the test staring with an 11 x 7 up to a 15 x 4 with no strain on the engine. You will note the mount which I have modified to allow it to flex rather than impose a strain on the engine with a totally rigid mounting.
Enjoy seeing and hearing it running and pay particular attention to the very low and really reliable idle - it just kept going and going...

Hi, Brian - thanks for the review of the more recent RCFG release. Just got one of these, and the only issue(s) I foresee are throttle & choke linkages. Throttle arm can be drilled for better linkage alignment thru firewall, but choke linkage is problematic - with choke arm directly behind the cylinder head, making push-pull rod thru cowl a bit of a challenge. It'd work well with a servo-operated choke rod mounted behind the firewall, I guess - but that's one more thing to fuss with...

Yo Tempqa As you can see in the video, my test stand is solid - non moving so no thrust measurement which, really tells you little as static thrust (on the ground) bears no relationship at all to the thrust on the air as there are so many variables such as the type of model. No best propeller - all the propellers I used are listed above and, again, it depends on the model as to what propeller you use. If you want speed you use a large pitch, small diameter propeller. For pulling lower (large model at scale speed as an example) you use a large diameter, small pitch propeller. Buy the engine for yourself, you will enjoy it. Regards Brain Oily
