What is the correct temperature for 3 week old kittens? They are healthy but desperately need baths and I want to keep them warm while drying.

This might be a question for the veterinarian. Generally, temperatures that increase the body temperature are best but it shouldn't be too warm. 80-85F seems like a good starting point but your veterinarian will have more specifics related to your animals.

Is it safe to use it for newly hatched birds ??

Yes of course! The Pet Brooder has a Bird counterpart but the Pet/Bird brooder work in the same way.

What is the negative ion button for?
@rcomincubatorsusa6 ай бұрын
Hey great question! So researchers in the Eastern part of the world take a holistic look at an animal's health. They believe that a sense of wellness is achieved through time in nature. Nature has flowing water, large forests, and aspects that make negative ions or anions. This Pet Brooder feature mimics the anions in nature by dispelling them inside the unit. Some people swear it helps their animals' behavior and others never use the feature.

May i know where should i but the pet brooder ? Does it need a room with air conditioner ??
@rcomincubatorsusa4 ай бұрын
Hey Linda, we sell them on our website in our video's description. It does need to be in a room that is about 75F and about 20-30% humidity. The room shouldn't be too hot and/or humid or the brooder won't be able to maintain the temperature and humidity that you've set.

how do i make sure the humidifier is working properly?? can't get it below 78 and no water has been pulled from my jug
@rcomincubatorsusa Жыл бұрын
The Pet Brooder can only add to humidity, not lower it. So if it's humid in the room, it'll be humid inside the Pet Brooder. We've also noticed that sometimes puppies will urinate on the inside and combined with the heat, it'll make the humidity inside the unit higher than what you've set it to. If you are using an oxygen concentrator with the Pet Brooder, make sure you aren't using a humidifier cup on the concentrator, since that will produce humidity that the brooder cannot control.

Do I need to have oxygen running into the brooder if I put puppies in there?
@rcomincubatorsusa Жыл бұрын
Not at all! It's really if your animals/vet need the supplemental oxygen. Lots of rescues/clinics/breeders use the machine with just heat and/or humidity. You can use the machine in multiple ways that best benefit your animals. Always consult your veterinarian though as every animal is different.

@@rcomincubatorsusa ok I’m going to be having new born pups. Wanted to know if I can put them in there for a few days. They wouldn’t need oxygen running? I’m not trying to kill my pups, I want to be sure. They would new borns not sick pups. Would it be ideal to place them in there for a few days after birth?

@@Loud127 They won't need oxygen running unless they are very small or sick. The brooder is not air tight, it has a small gap in the window and the back of the gray tray. So it will circulate air with the outside environment without an oxygen concentrator/tank. I normally use the Pet Brooder with Australian Shepherd puppies from about 3 days old to about 4-5 weeks old. It gives the mom a break and allows the pups to have a warm environment to sleep between feedings. Again, consult your veterinarian as they'll know what's best for your pups. -Riley
