What size metal ball ends did you use? Did you have to swap out the servo screws?

Awesome conversion mate! Is this a PL Stampede Body? I like to buy an Barrage, but wondered what scale looking body would fit 🤔

Really like the in depth upgrade videos! A quick comment on your bump steer, bump steer occurs when the distance between the servo and the axle changes while moving if you his a bump, which is probably why they call it bump steer. In your situation with the servo mounted to the axle this shouldn't happen. Bump steer mostly only happens with chassis mounted servo setups and that's why when you upgrade to that setup it's best to add a panhard bar that will help keep the distance between the servo and the axle close the what it is when at rest. Since your linkages with the servo spaced out aren't parallel you might lose some steering travel but it shouldn't necessarily cause any bump steer. Great video otherwise, your really starting to temp me into getting one!

+Ethan Boening hey ethan! Hows it going man, thanks for that overview. I figured id cover any possibility of bumpsteer questions from my viewers. Lol ive gotten them in the past on similar things and figured instead of repeating myself id talk a bit about it in the video. Lol and as far as i can tell i dont notice really any loss of steering angle. So, so far so good. Hahaha

Just bought the new Barrage and loving it. Got mine for $170. It keeps up with my $500 Crawler. What motor upgrade would you recommend? Is there one that I can just replace the current one with, without having to change anything else out?

try doing a CMS (chassis mounted servo). i did one. u have to change a few things but it works with a higher torque servo

I have the ecx barrage doomsday and yes the suspension is pretty hard but I removed the spacers and I just recently put axial Maxxis trepador 1.9 tires from a axial scx10 jeep Rubicon wrangler and I took a road rippers Dodge Ram 1500 body and some adt sign aluminum for frame rails and old piece of wood for the bed of the truck

There'a new ecx barrage in the market, i think. Its called ecx barrage doomsday. They updated the positions of the shocks and the axles are wider. Don't know the rest.
@RCOverloadYT7 жыл бұрын
+Roy dP i saw that. Ill half to look more into the shock setup on that. Thanks for that info man!

Super pissed I bought the doomsday POS I hate ecx now, no aftermarket companies make parts for them and the axles are the biggest garbage part on any RC I've seen in a while. I snapped a axle in an hour after taking it out of the box with no excuse for the break I was cruising it and tried to climb a couple things and my axle kept bending super bad and I would have to bend it back in place until it finally snapped absolute garbage I'm just glad I paid 99$ for it because if I paid the 220$ it used to be I would have flipped out. The regular barrage has the exact same axles so I would never get one and the replacement axle is sold out everywhere even on manufacturer's website says discontinued lol fuck ecx.

ECX is a very good company... and I've had a great experience with the Barrage... I think you must have just received a defective product.
