RC Tanks & Trucks 24/7 .thank you for your research on these 3 and imo the bison seems to be the best bang for the buck and better waterproofing for the esc but the plastic gears etc seem not to be good for longevity. I am looking to purchase one of the 3 but that's the only concern i have on the bison. any advice on that matter? Thanks in advance

My Bison works very well so far, but I have one issue. Sometimes when I normally drive and then stop and stand still, the car starts to drive backwards slowly without me doing anything. Even if I don't touch the remote, it does that. But then if I press forward again, it drives further just as normal as before. But if I want to drive backwards on purpose, it doesn't do that. Now, does this car even have a backwards gear and I don't know hot to controll it or is that a fault of the car and it is damaged in some way so that it drives backwards without me doing anything

U can get all the parts for bison from amewi - a German brand using bison for they am10t car :) u can buy all the parts even with original orange bison shell:) I bought the extreme version which on 4s can go 100kph - but I didn't tasted it. Amewi am10t extreme version is the same as white bison on aliexpress. Amewi am10t extreme is a speed killer:) I am a beginner and I broke some arm parts :) my wife hit a metal fence with almost full power:) it survived :) amewi sends all the parts to Europe - I am not sure about the rest of the world. THANKS RC T&T, I scoured youtube for weeks, then bought the bison, off your recommendation. Have been bashing the living crap out of it for a few weeks on 3s and 4s. Man this thing hammers! (I prefer 3s as its a bit easier to handle and will ensure a longer parts life). Had it up to its roof in water no problem. Wouldn't advise it but it didn't hurt it. Haven't broken anything yet...Speed is not the issue, I reckon I'm not getting enough altitude! Solid little suckers look better in real life too! :)) Someone needs to put some night runs online ...ROFL watching the disco show (leds) as it cartwheels end over end down the road.

Lots of people are having chassis breakage issues with the Bison. Do you think the hot 40C temps kept the plastic from cracking / breaking in your testing? You really beat on it and had no chassis issues which is good but strange others are having breakage with much lighter usage. Bad batch of plastic perhaps or hot temps keep the plastic plyable enough to prevent cracking?

Great car, only issue with the early ones was the chassis snapping. That has been fixed now with the new reinforcement plate. My favorite bang for buck basher is the DHK Zombie or Maximus.

Hey Steve, I would take the 21101 over the bison, because of the aluminum chasse. Don't know if it effects performance, but IMO it just looks a lot nicer and flashier.

Aluminum is one of those things that usually does look nice and adds that perception of quality. The issue that always exists though, is what type of aluminum is being used. The cheetah has an aluminum chassis that looks like a stamped, 6061 aluminum. Soft and pliable, easily bent. Plastic, if formulated properly, can bend and return to its original shape. There are pictures in the forums that show the cheetah chassis with significant bends after bashing. Bison for the win.

You are welcome! Also, great job on the recommendation in this video. Another bit of information that I consider very important in the comparison of these trucks, is that the Bison has a center diff, instead of a slipper clutch. The manual shows a slipper, but if you take the cover off of the bottom, you will see the center diff there. This is another major reason the Bison rules this group.

Elliot Baltazar Well after a year you have been proven wrong (in just this specific case) as the bison was plaqued with snapping chassis so much so the v2 version now comes with an attachable chassis brace. The jlb aluminum chassis seems real thick and super strong imo.

Im in the same position as you, i have a zd racing 9016s which is really good but i want to go to the next step. Personally i feel the jbl cheetah 21101 is the best (the 120 amp esc) as it can run 4s, going up to 100kmh, and has great tires to grip as well as the wheelie bar which is needed! Personally i'm going to get it but its up to you. Also the dhk zombie is big but is more expensive. I think these are all great cars for the price and have lots of power, i think that they all have lots of parts. On bangood there are plenty of parts so youll be covered. If you have anymore questions, just ask im happy to help!

Just to let you know I have the jlb truggy I have had one for over 3 mouths.I bought it at Banggood. Dam thing was faster than hell, blew my mind. my frinend has nitro cars and I blew him away. so he had to buy one from banggood. But when I first got it and made a couple runs heard a grinding noise, luckly I found that the motor screw and motor lock screw had not been tighten down. I don't bash them but have had a couple of wreaks. this was my first hobby grade RC it was my second one i had bought. I could not pop the ball joint back in and had bent the drive shaft. After taking it apart. BY THE WAY IT HELL GETTING THE TIRE OFF. I got the ball joint back in and straighten the drive shaft. I was up and running again, then ,well I used the back fin to pick it up and it broke. my friends broke too but he had landed on it from a small jump.broke like yours did . Any way I went to banggood web site and could not find any parts also gear best. So I contacted Banggood live chat to get help but them people didn t have a clue. They're customer sevice needs a lot of work. So then I contacted JLB racing and got in touch with Shine Luo. He wanted to were I bought I told him and low and be hold 3 weeks later banggood and gear best had some of the parts. Banggood had more of them listed than gear best . I am still waiting on parts min. 3 weeks to get them. But in any case I figured out that tires had blew out causing the wipe outs. it was not a solid bead around the wheel they were just tacked in spots. when your doing a wheelies at 35-40 mph on the road and the tire blows its time for cart wheels ha ha. Not to sure mine was RTR. do you know if there are any warrenty places in the USA I have 3 other Items that I have bought from banggood that I have problems with. And the last time I tried to contact customer service they told me to contact them back in 3 days. Can you steer me in the right direction to get these issues resolved . Really nice informative in depth comparison between the three and thank you for stating your personal choice. Despite what you said about the Cheetahs tyres, you were doing some awesome 4 wheel drifts. With the truggy Cheetah the air you were getting with the jumps was impressive, as for the Bison, like you said, just that slightly better build quality especially the "A" arms and ESC. Which to buy, I suppose it comes down to personal choice, what is appreciated however, is how you take the time and effort to present these videos so the rest of us may benefit... Thank you

You have made a big mistake i have a cheetah the new version the j3 speed and my friend got the vkar Bison v3 he crashed it once not even hard and his whole rear end is gone his motor is bend his esc is burnt because of the heat and his spur gear is molten also because of the heat and i have only bend my shocktower but its fixed

Banggood and gearbest are the same. People will generally only write negative comments. The issue is if there is a problem with the product on delivery. Both have decent customer service that can help.
