I've been looking on this charger for a short while and your video has made the decision for me, I'm getting one. I have realized the hassle with parallel charging and having the same voltages every time is just not for me. With this one combined with my ISDT P10 I can charge six 6S 5Ah at 2C, making perfect use of my 24V/1500W power supply. After this, getting the same setup with 2 x 12V LiFePO4 100Ah that you have, is next for mobile charging and autonomy at the field. Great video!
@RCVideoReviews Жыл бұрын
That mobile charging setup is one of the best things I've come up with in RC. I would immediately replace that system if I had to. I'm not usually one for multi-channel chargers, but I have to give it to them on this one--it's compact, easy to navigate and powerful. I'll be curious to see how it does over the long run. Sounds like you have a pretty good setup ready to go when you add this charger.

@@RCVideoReviews I've had my first one almost 3 years now (feb 2021) and the only thing that's physically wrong with it is the darn stand and one of the fans is a bit noisy. The second one arrived this spring. I noticed that the newer one was much more repsonsive in the menus, otherwise totally the same. Nice allround charger for sure.

John, I see the max volts listed, but not the max input amp listed in the specs.
@RCVideoReviews Жыл бұрын
It's right on the graphic in the video. 2nd row down, left side. 15a.
@dalegregory3019 Жыл бұрын
I’m pretty sure that is the charging amps per channel (output).
@RCVideoReviews Жыл бұрын
250watts max per channel, 15a max output. The load comes from the output. If the device supports 15a per channel, then you can do 60a total in.

How accurate does it charge and balance? My ISDT‘s does sometimes charge some cells to 4.205v
@RCVideoReviews Жыл бұрын
6s charge measured with 87V: 4.199 4.200 4.201 4.200 4.200 4.200 I'd say that's more than accurate enough. Don't forget to calibrate. Good question.

I have a question about the battery’s you use to power the charger. Do you need to run two LiFePO batteries in series for 24v or will one 12v work? Would like to see the vid on turning your car into a charger I’m interested

-On the newer firmwares, if you start one job and then insert batteries in the ports it will autostart charging with previous settings. I believe you can turn that setting off. But i think it's pretty handy.- Edit: I remebered this one wrong.
@RCVideoReviews Жыл бұрын
Hmmm, I did check their site for firmware. I'll have to give this a shot. That could be useful.
@RCVideoReviews Жыл бұрын
Ok, that's called continuous charge, and I mentioned it in the video. I thought your reference was to setting parameters on one port and having them activated upon connection to another. That is not a feature of this charger. Continuous charging is.
@Fumes74 Жыл бұрын
@@RCVideoReviews My bad, you are 100% right. I missed it in your video and I rembered it wrong. I thought it copied the settings from previous ports but it doesn't.
@annespacedroid9 ай бұрын
Does anyone know the balance charge rate?. The manual states "1000ma x 4", so is that 1a shared across all cells on a single port?. A 6s will get 166ma per cell, if that's the case.

Is discharging that important to a lot of people? What is the purpose? I flew for years, took a decade break and am now flying again. Ive never discharged, just charged and used the battery

It's pretty widely agreed upon to not store batteries at peak. The hint is in the voltage level of a battery you receive from manufacturers...usually from 3.75-3.85v/c. I *never* leave batteries at peak for more than a few hours. But---your money, your hobby. Do your thing.
@HuevosAzules8 ай бұрын
@@RCVideoReviews I understand storing batteries at peak is not a great idea, but my idea of storing isn't a few days and more putting them away for the winter.

@@RCVideoReviews I definitely stand corrected. Sorry I questioned anything. Did a bit of research and found everybody says the same. I guess in the past 10-15 years things have kinda changed a bit. At my local field not a soul talked about discharging. Just about safety while charging. I just ordered a nice discharger so I'm not killing my lipos or family. Thanks for the tip

Can you please help me with a power supply to plug into a 110v wall outlet, it didn’t come with one. I bought it to charge four batteries at once from my ECOFlow River Pro 2 at the field. I ordered the toolkit power supply off Amazon, hopefully 🤞 it works. Any advice?

One bery important feature all lipo chargers need to have for safety was forget. A temp sensor for the lipos. My old Imax and Hyperions al have tenp sensor and I still using what the temp sensor straps that still works. By the way it's same my room/house from fire 4 times. The charger shut down when the lipo start to warm a lot. I really don't know why the new chargers manufacturers don't use this feature.
@RCVideoReviews Жыл бұрын
We're going to have to agree to disagree. I don't think a temperature sensor is remotely necessary.

Everyone talks about safety with these Lipo batteries, yet that balance extension cable has the wrong wire coloring. There is only one NEGATIVE wire and the rest are POSITIVE...That incorrect color coding got me into trouble when I first started balance board charging.
