The RD350 was great. I had one air cooled and six water cooled ones. LCs and YPVS. So much fun. Had the RD500, too. Thanks for the memories.

I never get tired of looking at your RD. Fantastic paint, great detail updates, and she runs well. Beautiful bike. You are so right about two stroke bikes being conversation starters. Old guys remember them fondly, young guys find them exotic. It is all great fun. Exhaust noise is a challenge. On my RZ, the stock exhaust is heavy, restrictive, prone to rust, but very quiet. Years ago, I replaced the stock exhaust with expansion chambers that are lighter, less restrictive, but noisier. When riding in town I have to short shift and keep the revs down to keep the pipes as quiet as possible. You can still tell they are barely containing the tiny, furious power of a Yamaha two stroke twin. Outside of town, I let them rip. Also great fun. The stock pipes have been hanging in my garage for many years, just in case I want to restore the original configuration. Ride safe.

I TRY NOT TO MAKE EXTRA NOISE UP IN MY RIDING AREA AS I AM THERE EVERY DAY. SO FAR THE QUIET BIKES HAVE NOT EVEN BEEN PULLED OVER, TWO STROKES FOREVER.
