i'm so glad you played a kinda punky song towards the end. usually when i see those tama drums, my brain is just like "90's skate-punk" also looks like something one of those 90's skate punk bands would play on a reunion tour. like the band hadn't played together since 99 and the drummer was like "i'm gonna use my old tama kit" and it was the first time he'd seen the snare in 20 years and is just like "i'll make it work"
@rdavidr3 жыл бұрын
my thoughts exactly! whenever I set up one of my tamas I feel the need to play rock or punk haha

Only thing I would have added was a coat of clear lacquer over it to keep the rest of the flaky chrome from becoming glitter and winding up in the carpet all over the house.

Vintage Tama are my favorite line of drums. Glad to see this snare has some life left. Noice job David!

Nice work! A testament to why we drumsmiths keep so many parts around. I would’ve taken a wire wheel to the shell, stripped off the chrome and made a brushed copper shell. 100% badass!

Totally agree. He should have worked on the finish at least a little. The thing is...it still sounds great

Missed opportunity!-> If you had cut the two snare straps at opposite angles it would have looked like a snake tongue, and the way the strap was dancing being in front of the air port combined with the rock ‘n’ roll would have added at least another +10 style points.

I didn't have faith on the look. I thought you were gonna paint the shell. But then after a second thought I realized it looks amazing. But then BAM!!! You start to play it , and I thought it was a transition song (not related to the snare) to show how it was gonna sound, but it was the actual sound and it was sick!!!!!!!!! btw, the song was amazing, It reminded me the best my chemical romance songs!!!!
