Ultimate gohan was stated in the manga and implied in both to be stronger than ssj3 goku and dogged buu until he absorbed gotenks. The same ssj3 level that pushed janemba to transform. It’s debatable where the story aligns as even when the movie first came out , ultimate gohan wasn’t a thing yet(gotenks had just beat evil buu in the manga at this point in ‘95) but that gohan was far above goku by that point

The issue with rating Janemba is that we never saw him in a close fight. He played with SSJ3 Goku but got smoked by Gogeta effortlessly. Basically 1 tapped him - way quicker than Vegito vs Buuhan. Janemba really just got weird powers, but they dont explain how Gogeta can just bypass that stuff. Plot armor ig - cause if both Goku and Vegeta could never sense him, how would fusing fix that? Movie variants are stronger than their cannon counterparts. They do hella crazy shit they ain’t never done in the main story cuz it’s a movie and nothing that happens has any consequences. Ex. Broly is supposed to take place before cell but he’s stronger than cell. That being said I don’t see vegeta losing. Vegeta in ssj is stronger than super perfect cell. Majin vegeta (ssj2 amp plus majin amp) is stronger than first movie broly.

That’s not entirely true. The scaling is just different, it’s not always that one is stronger than the other. The movies for example are all seperate timelines which are tied in by Heroes/GT all of which is weaker than the Super characters (largely due to Goku and Vegeta absorbing God essence into their base)

The movie scaling is different from the series because they’re seperate realities so we can’t just scale them 1:1 like we normally can. Koyama (the creator of Broly) even makes it clear that Broly is the strongest movie villain even if that’s not true there’s strong evidence that Broly is SS3 Goku level including the information about Trunk’s Super form or even the fact that SS2 Gohan with help literally could not hurt Broly at all even in base (easily putting Broly above Dabura, Cell, level characters)

When you scale the movies to the anime you use feats because it's not the same universe, the movie characters have crazy feats that go way beyond the anime characters imagination. Mystic Gohan is the strongest non-fused character in dbz, with his potential unlocked he's stronger than super buu, fat buu, kid buu and super saiyan 3 goku. Vegito is the strongest character in dbz canonically, nothing comes close to Vegito even with fat buu, mystic gohan, piccolo, fused ssj3 gotenks combined he still couldn't beat vegito. He even turned him into candy and it didn't work because he was so strong.

||TLDR: Janemba is universal and Z Broly can be proven to be potentially universal with his destruction of the south galaxy feat. Nobody in Z Scales to uni besides Buuhan and Vegito potentially. Being generous to Z Buuhan and Vegito are above Z Broly, realistically Broly's stronger than both. It's also been stated by Akira Toriyama directly that the movies take place in different dimensions so the scaling wont be the same.|| I'll explain it again since these ppl still dont understand why Broly is stronger than Canon Z. Not going over Janemba if you watch the series it should be obvious he's stronger than Canon Z. Z Broly as an enraged child was shown on screen destroying the entirety of a normal galaxy overtime. This would automatically put him above both Frieza and Cell and Cell is peaking Solar System level while within mabye a couple of being generous to cell, Broly was able to destroy a GALAXY. Galaxies are immeasurably larger than a single solar system, as there are billions on billions of solar systems in a Galaxy. Broly is then stated to be a threat to the entire south galaxy, which is 1/4th of the universe in dragon ball. The ONLY way you can get anyone in Canon Z above this is by using Buuhan's universe destroying scream feat, which in of itself is questionable as the effects of his scream was shown to be more of a domino effect. Imagine you have a gun, and if you shoot said gun at a nuke it will destroy a city. The gun isnt City level, but using it a certain way could cause City level destruction.

This off topic but Not gonna lie would love to see cooler 5th form vs trunks ssj in the early androids saga because cooler is much strongee than king cold and frieza when they arrived on earth, in gokus base alone was getting the upperhand on cooler and in the movie cooler mentions how it makes sense how frieza lost to goku even before any transformations. Cooler unlike frieza and king cold at the time trained at some point too. Edit: I say janembas winning against base super buu the ssj3 Goku in the movies was much stronger, he has a halo over his head meaning he's dead so not only he's stronger shaking the entire afterlife compared to canon Goku shaking earth only but also ssj3 has no stamina drain in the afterlife too so Goku is not losing no energy. He did box a bit with janemba which is an impressive feat for Goku not an anti feat for janembas. Janemba just like buuhan required a fusion to beat him it was a do or die moment. No Dyl, Goku from Fusion Reborn is not Goku from the anime. The movie characters are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT characters. They are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY fucking stronger than their anime counterparts. These guys also keep scaling movie villains vs anime characters, not understanding that they are separate universes altogether and they aren't the same characters at all. Majin Vegeta was SSJ2 vs Goku. He's stronger than LSS Broly in the 1st movie. Gohan wasn't even a SSJ2 in that movie. So it's set right before the cell games. Goku and Gohan were full power SSJ in those movies. Broly was barely even close to SSJ2 but not quite there yet. Majin Vegeta vs Goku was SSJ2 + Majin power up after the 7 year gap of training. He's definitively stronger than Broly off jump. Broly could get stronger but that power gap would take time. If it's the start of the fight Broly loses.

@ Super Boo is equal in ki to Fat Boo before the split. He’a never stated to have more ki it’s just his body is better for battle and his ki is more evil. Also Super Boo and Fat Boo are the same thing absorption wise it’s just Evil Boo is in control. SSJ3 Gotenks = Super Boo but SSJ3 Goku >> Fat Boo who is relative to Super Boo so Goku is stronger than them both. Many statements for Goku being stronger too I was just disagreeing with them being relative. Also while the manga supersedes the daizenshuu that only matters if the daizenshuu contradicts the manga or vice versa but Cell Jr’s being close to Cell in power doesn’t contradict anything Broly is stated to have destroyed most of the south galaxy which is not one galaxy but a QUADRANT of galaxies meaning it contains 1/4th of all galaxies in the universe and he destroyed most of it. Janemba is canon to the Z anime it takes place after the kid buu saga. Kid buu was stated to be the strongest foe Goku has ever fought including buuhan.(source Z anime dialogue). Vegeta directly states in z and super that Goku has become the strongest since he defeated kid buu. Janemba curb stomps that Goku.

Toriyama wasn't greatly involved in any of them, they primarily took concepts from him and copied the general vibes of the sagas they followed. The issue with rating Janemba is that we never saw him in a close fight. He played with SSJ3 Goku but got smoked by Gogeta effortlessly. Basically 1 tapped him - way quicker than Vegito vs Buuhan. Janemba really just got weird powers, but they dont explain how Gogeta can just bypass that stuff. Plot armor ig - cause if both Goku and Vegeta could never sense him, how would fusing fix that? Sensing energy was never a power thing, otherwise Freiza wouldve sensed shit on namek

You’re not able to sense people power lvl if they’re vastly above you. You don’t have a real number you’re just “hella strong” until someone that’s close to you gauges your lvl. Gogeta bypassed his hax because being stronger than your opponent negates hax. Vegito toyed with buuhan and needed to save his family and friends.
